The Microinsurance MBA Association of the Philippines (MiMAP) participated in the MCPI Annual Conference 2026, held on August 12–13, 2026 at Century Park Hotel, Manila.

As part of the conference, Mr. Jun Jay Perez, Executive Director of MiMAP facilitated a session focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), exploring its potential applications and opportunities.

The two-day AOA Study Group Visit successfully concluded.

The program featured discussions on the introduction to ICISP and its approach to Talent and Culture, KMBA's role as a provider of microinsurance for the urban poor, KCoop as a distribution channel partner for KMBA and the role of MiMAP, the microinsurance MBA network. The day 1 concluded with welcome dinner, providing participants with an opportunity to connect, exchange experiences, and build meaningful relationships.

The program culminated in a learning session at CARD MBA, where participants gained a firsthand look at how mutual microinsurance is implemented in practice.

The AOA Study Group Visit served as an opportunity to share knowledge, and foster meaningful connections toward a more inclusive and resilient microinsurance sector.

The MiMAP Governance Committee met via Zoom on August 5, 2026, to discuss key governance matters and review updates from previous action items.

The committee also reviewed the proposed amendments to the Corporate Governance Manual, Communications Policy, and Membership Application to ensure these remain relevant and aligned with MiMAP's governance standards.

Through these continuous improvements, MiMAP remains committed to strengthening good governance, promoting transparency, and enhancing accountability across the association.
