Pasig Brotherhood Fil-Chi Volunteer Fire Brigade Inc. The funny thing about firemen is, night and day, they are always firemen. ~Gregory Widen, Backdraft

Firefighters (historically firemen) are rescuers extensively trained in firefighting, primarily to extinguish hazardous fires that threaten civilian populations and property and to rescue people from dangerous incidents, such as collapsed and burning buildings. The increasing complexity of modern industrialized life with an increase in the scale of hazards has created an increase in the skills needed in firefighting technology and a broadening of the firefighter-rescuer's remit.

"Happy Father's Day to all the brave firefighters out there who are also dads! Your courage, strength, and dedication to saving lives are truly inspiring. Just like how you rush into burning buildings to rescue those in need, you're also there for your families, providing love, support, and protection. We're grateful for your service and your role as amazing fathers. Thank you for being heroes both on and off the field!"

Firefighters are raising concerns about the dangers of leaving plastic water bottles inside hot cars.

When sunlight hits a clear, full bottle, it can act like a magnifying glass and focus heat on flammable surfaces.

This concentrated beam may spark a fire, especially on car seats or paper items.

A real case showed smoke and a burned seat caused by a bottle left under the sun.

Though rare, the risk increases with high temperatures and low humidity.

Besides fire, there are health concerns from drinking water stored in hot plastic bottles.

Heat can release harmful chemicals like BPA into the water.

To stay safe, avoid leaving bottles in direct sunlight or switch to insulated containers.

Choose BPA-free options and keep your car cool whenever possible.

Safety and hydration go hand in hand—stay alert and protect both.

From one of our directors Mr. Emil Sumangil...

Sino po ang naka-asul na katabi sa larawang ito nina Engr. Pj (+) at Karl… ?
