The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) officially launches the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Credit Cooperative, a member-centered initiative established to support the financial well-being, professional goals, and long-term welfare of members of the legal profession.

Introduced during the 2026 IBP Southern Luzon Regional Convention on August 20, 2026, the IBP Credit Cooperative forms part of the continuing initiatives of the 27th IBP Board of Governors, under the leadership of IBP National President and Chairman of the 27th Board of Governors Atty. Allan G. Panolong, to strengthen programs that directly benefit members of the Bar.

The cooperative was introduced by Atty. Josemar Albano, IBP National Officer, who presented its vision as a financial community owned and governed by lawyers and designed around the needs of lawyers.

Through the cooperative, members may look forward to financial solutions and opportunities founded on the principles of integrity, transparency, accountability, mutual support, and sustainable growth.

Registered with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) in accordance with Republic Act No. 9520, or the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008, the IBP Credit Cooperative represents another step toward building a stronger and more responsive professional community.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) officially launched the IBP Credit Cooperative on August 20, 2026, during the 2026 IBP Southern Luzon Regional Convention at Seda Nuvali, Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

The initiative was formally introduced by Atty. Josemar Albano, IBP National Officer, who presented the vision and purpose of the cooperative as a member-centered initiative designed to promote financial well-being, mutual support, and sustainable opportunities for members of the legal profession.

The establishment of the IBP Credit Cooperative forms part of the continuing efforts of the 27th IBP Board of Governors, under the leadership of IBP National President and Chairman of the 27th Board of Governors Atty. Allan G. Panolong, to develop programs that respond to the broader professional and financial needs of IBP members.

Built on the principle of a cooperative β€œby lawyers, for lawyers,” the IBP Credit Cooperative seeks to provide members with access to financial services and opportunities tailored to the needs of the legal community, while fostering a culture of shared responsibility, growth, and solidarity.

The launch marks another important milestone in the 27th Board of Governors’ commitment to strengthening the IBP not only as the national organization of lawyers, but also as an institution that actively promotes the welfare and long-term interests of its members.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) and Mind You Mental Health Systems, Inc. formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 20, 2026, during the 2026 IBP Southern Luzon Regional Convention at Seda Nuvali, Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

Representing the Integrated Bar of the Philippines were Atty. Allan G. Panolong, IBP National President and Chairman of the 27th Board of Governors; Atty. Job Florante L. Castillo, IBP National Director for Peer Assistance; and Atty. Randall C. Tabayoyong, IBP Executive Vice President and Governor for the Bicolandia Region.

Representing Mind You Mental Health Systems, Inc. was its President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yuri Marshall.

The partnership reflects the IBP’s continuing commitment to promoting the mental health, well-being, and overall welfare of members of the legal profession, while strengthening institutional mechanisms for peer assistance and professional support.

Through the Office of the IBP National Director for Peer Assistance, the IBP continues to pursue meaningful partnerships that recognize the importance of mental wellness in sustaining a resilient, compassionate, and service-oriented legal profession.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) and the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) formally strengthened their institutional partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 20, 2026, during the 2026 IBP Southern Luzon Regional Convention at Seda Nuvali, Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

The agreement affirms the shared commitment of both institutions to advance access to justice and legal assistance for urban poor communities, particularly through coordinated programs and initiatives designed to make legal services more accessible to vulnerable and underserved sectors.

Representing the Integrated Bar of the Philippines were IBP National President and Chairman of the 27th Board of Governors Atty. Allan G. Panolong, IBP Governor for the Southern Luzon Region Atty. Thaddeus E. Venturanza, and Atty. Pitero M. Reig, IBP National Director for Legal Aid (NCLA).

The 2026 Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Southern Luzon Regional Convention officially commenced today, August 20, 2026, at Seda Nuvali, Santa Rosa City, Laguna, gathering members of the legal profession from across the Southern Luzon Region under the banner β€œONE SLR: United in Service, United in Purpose.”

Highlighting the opening of the Convention was the message of IBP National President and Chairman of the 27th Board of Governors Atty. Allan G. Panolong, who underscored the importance of unity, professional solidarity, and a shared commitment to service as the IBP continues to strengthen its role in advancing the rule of law and ensuring greater access to justice for the Filipino people.

President Panolong emphasized that the strength of the IBP lies not only in its national leadership, but in the active participation and collective efforts of its Chapters and members throughout the country. His message called on members of the Southern Luzon Region to continue working together in upholding the dignity of the legal profession and responding meaningfully to the needs of the communities they serve.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Southern Luzon Region, in cooperation with the City Government of Santa Rosa, Laguna, held its Grand Legal Aid Day: β€œSerbisyong SLR: Isang Araw ng Hustisya at Paglilingkod” today, August 19, 2026, at the City of Santa Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex, Barangay Tagapo, Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

The activity forms part of the 2026 IBP Southern Luzon Regional Convention and underscores the IBP’s continuing commitment to bringing meaningful, responsive, and accessible legal services closer to communities.

Under the leadership of IBP National President and Chairman of the 27th Board of Governors Atty. Allan G. Panolong, together with IBP Governor for the Southern Luzon Region Atty. Thaddeus E. Venturanza, the IBP continues to strengthen its legal aid initiatives and partnerships with local government units in advancing access to justice.

The activity brought together members and representatives of the IBP Chapters comprising the Southern Luzon Region, namely: Aurora, Batangas, Calmana, Cavite, Laguna, Makati, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, PPLM, Quezon, and Rizal-RSMβ€”united in their shared commitment to public service and the administration of justice.
