Earlier today, September 25, 2026, personnel of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) National Office received their flu vaccinations at the Marcelo Fernan Hall, 12th Floor, IBP Tower, as part of the organization’s continuing efforts to promote the health, wellness, and well-being of its workforce.

Following the vaccination activity, IBP National President Atty. Allan G. Panolong addressed the National Office staff in a meaningful engagement focused on employee welfare, workplace concerns, organizational priorities, and the future plans and direction of the IBP.

During the discussion, President Panolong emphasized the importance of open communication and responsive leadership, providing personnel with an opportunity to raise concerns and better understand the administration’s plans moving forward.

He likewise recognized the important contribution of the men and women of the IBP National Office, whose dedication and professionalism are essential to the effective implementation of the organization’s programs and services.

The activity underscored the IBP leadership’s commitment to strengthening the institution while ensuring that the health, welfare, and concerns of its personnel remain a priority.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) and The IBP Journal invite members of the Shari’ah Bar and/or the Integrated Bar of the Philippines to submit scholarly works for publication in the inaugural volume of the IBP Shari’ah Journal.

Established to promote a continuous and rigorous discourse on Shari’ah law and jurisprudence, the Journal seeks to contribute to the development of law and jurisprudence, the improvement of the administration of justice, and the strengthening of the Shari’ah justice system in the Philippines.
Submissions may consist of:

β€’ Short-form legal updates on Shari’ah law and jurisprudence, including related laws, rules, and regulations of national scope and of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao β€” maximum of 10 pages; or
β€’ Long-form academic papers on the foregoing topics β€” recommended length of 25–30 pages.

Manuscripts must comply with the prescribed citation and submission requirements indicated in the Call for Papers and must not have been previously published in another publication.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), through the IBP Bulacan Chapter led by Chapter President Atty. Rosario R. Bautista, joined the Department of Justice Action Center (DOJAC) Katarungan Caravan held on 21 September 2026 in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

The activity brought together members of the legal community, government officials, and partner institutions in a shared effort to make legal assistance more accessible to the public.

Present during the activity were President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Justice Secretary Fredderick A. Vida, DOJ Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez, Representative Atty. Agatha Paula A. Cruz, and Guiguinto Mayor Ambrosio C. Cruz Jr., together with lawyers and representatives of participating agencies.

IBP lawyers took part in providing legal consultation and assistance to members of the community. President Marcos also personally engaged with beneficiaries during the consultation activities and shared inputs on how the IBP can further strengthen and expand its legal aid services, including the involvement of law students in the preparation of legal documents under the guidance and supervision of lawyers.

Such an approach can serve a dual purpose: expanding assistance available to those in need while providing law students with meaningful, supervised practical exposure to the work of the legal profession.

By bringing together experienced lawyers, future members of the Bar, government institutions, and local communities, legal aid becomes not only an avenue for public service but also a valuable training ground for developing competent, compassionate, and service-oriented future lawyers.

The IBP remains committed to strengthening partnerships that bring legal services closer to the people and advance meaningful access to justice for all. βš–οΈ

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines joins the nation in the observance of Law Day, celebrated every September 19 pursuant to Proclamation No. 1477, s. 1975. The proclamation recognizes the indispensable role of the administration of justice in a democracy and the important contribution of lawyers in strengthening the rule of law.

Today, we honor the members of the legal profession whose work advances justice, protects rights, and upholds the principles upon which our democratic institutions stand.

May this occasion remind us that the practice of law is not only a profession, but also a continuing responsibility to serve the public, defend the rule of law, and help make justice accessible to all.

Happy Law Day!
