Metro Pacific Investments Foundation (MPIF) participated in the recent Conference Press Launch of the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) where MPIF showcased its flagship program, Shore It Up! (SIU), highlighting how community-driven efforts can deliver real environmental impact.

From coastal cleanups to Mangrove Propagation and Information Centers and the Marine Protection Inspection and Conservation Guardians programs, SIU continues to empower communities nationwide to protect and sustain their coastal and marine environments.

MPIF President Melody Del Rosario said:
“At its core, Shore It Up! is about bringing people closer to the environments they’re helping protect. When communities are directly involved, the shift goes beyond participation, it becomes part of how they care for their own surroundings, while allowing us to create meaningful impact through hands-on, community-led protection efforts.”

Across our 8 partner sites, thousands of volunteers came together at sunrise to take action—clearing our coasts and waters, and restoring life where it matters most.

From coastal and underwater cleanups to mangrove planting, this collective effort shows what’s possible when communities move with purpose.

✨ 2,894 volunteers
🌊 2.3 metric tons of trash collected
🧹 49,008 pieces of trash removed
🌱 600 mangroves planted

Every piece collected and every mangrove planted is a step toward healthier seas and stronger coastal communities.

Because real change doesn’t happen in just one hour—it grows through shared action, sustained commitment, and weekends like this.

Ready to dive into action and Shore It Up for our seas! 🌊

Metro Pacific Investments Foundation (MPIF), together with partner LGUs and organizations, recently held an alignment meeting in preparation for Shore It Up! Weekend 2026: One Hour for the Planet. One Weekend for Our Shores.

Representatives from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao gathered via Zoom to coordinate plans for the nationwide celebration on March 28–29, 2026. Activities will begin with the observance of Earth Hour at 8:30 PM on March 28, followed by various environmental initiatives across participating sites including coastal and underwater cleanups, mangrove planting, and other conservation efforts.

A timely way to kick off Women’s Month. 🌸

Metro Pacific Investments Foundation President Melody Del Rosario recently participated in a Career Day organized by Mano Amiga Academy, where she was part of a panel of inspiring women professionals. During the session, she shared insights from her career in Public Relations and Corporate Communications, highlighting the importance of communication, adaptability, and purpose in building a meaningful professional journey.

More than 30 junior high school students attended the session and gained valuable insights into career development and personal growth as they begin exploring their future paths.
