𝗦𝗢, 𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗡𝗔?

Sa kakatapos lang na ikalimang State of the Nation Address ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., naiwan ang isang tanong: sa kabila ng lahat ng matataas na numero, mga pormal na palakpakan, at mga ipinagmamalaking proyekto... ramdam mo ba ang diwa ng ipinangakong Bagong Pilipinas?

Sapagkat sa labas ng malamig at maaliwalas na bulwagan ng Batasan, malayo sa mga camera at nakagawiang palakpakan, iba ang tunay na estado ng bansa. Iba ang kwento ng mga kalsada, ng mga palengke, at ng bawat pamilyang pilipinong umaasa sa magandang kinabukasan.

Kayo, lalo na ang mga kabataang lumulusong sa baha ng mga hamong dala ng buhay, nararamdaman niyo ba ang pangako para sa bawat mamamayan? O tinitiis na lang natin ang paulit-ulit na kwento?

A PUSH FOR PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY

The Alliance of Competent Young Movers (Young Movers) has been elected as the Chairperson of the Committee on Good Governance and Public Accountability of the Pasig City Youth Development Council (PCYDC).

The committee leadership was officially announced during the 21st Regular Session of the Pasig City Youth Development Council held on June 28, 2026.

A key highlight of the session was the creation of the Committee on Good Governance and Public Accountability, a standing committee mandated to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance within the Council. Among its primary responsibilities are reviewing the implementation of the Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP) of Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, monitoring compliance with existing laws and policies on youth governance, ensuring that youth development initiatives are implemented effectively and in the best interest of the youth sector, and recommending appropriate actions on concerns involving delayed, inconsistent, or non-compliant implementation.

As Chairperson of the Committee, Young Movers reaffirms its commitment to advancing transparent, accountable, and participatory youth governance by promoting integrity, strengthening oversight mechanisms, and ensuring that public resources intended for the youth are utilized responsibly and effectively.

Joining the committee leadership, SAMAKABA was likewise elected as the Vice Chairperson, reinforcing a collaborative effort to champion good governance and public accountability for the youth of Pasig City.

Young Movers Secretary Justine Mark Guzman represented the organization during the Committee Hearing on Proposed Ordinance No. 103-2026, entitled "An Ordinance Establishing the Pasig City Youth Leadership Academy and Providing Funds Therefor," held on June 15, 2026.

The proposed ordinance aims to establish a comprehensive leadership development program for the youth of Pasig, providing opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills, civic engagement, and capacity to become active partners in community development.

Young Movers remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower young people and promote meaningful youth participation in governance and nation-building.

𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗥𝗣 𝗜𝗡 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

As part of its continuing commitment to empowering youth organizations, the Alliance of Competent Young Movers (Young Movers) expressed its full support for the expansion of the Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) across Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Pasig City.

On behalf of the Pasig City Youth Development Council (PCYDC), Young Movers Chairperson Bryan Sanson spearheaded the conduct of the YORP Orientation for the student organizations of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP). The activity introduced student leaders to the opportunities and benefits of YORP registration, paving the way for greater participation in youth development initiatives and government-supported programs.

The orientation also highlighted the collaborative efforts behind the initiative, with special recognition to Rosken Ravelo Casiano, proponent of PCYDC Resolution No. 03, s. 2024, which institutionalized the expansion of YORP in Higher Education Institutions, and to Ms. Arvie Amistoso Salosa for sharing her expertise and helping equip PLP student leaders with valuable knowledge on the program.

Through stronger collaboration among the PCYDC, educational institutions, and youth organizations, the initiative seeks to widen access to leadership development, partnerships, capacity-building opportunities, and government programs for student organizations throughout Pasig City.

Young Movers remains steadfast in supporting initiatives that empower young leaders and strengthen meaningful youth participation in building a more active, inclusive, and progressive Pasig. 💙

Pagpupugay sa mga Manggagawang Pilipino!

Ngayong Araw ng Paggawa, taos-puso nating kinikilala at pinapahalagahan ang walang kapantay na ambag ng bawat manggagawang Pilipino—mga tunay na haligi ng ating lipunan at sandigan ng ating ekonomiya. Sa bawat patak ng pawis, sa bawat oras ng pagod at sakripisyo, nabubuo ang mga pangarap ng pamilya at ang pag-unlad ng ating bayan.

Hindi matatawaran ang dedikasyon ng ating mga Anakpawis—mula sa mga manggagawa sa pabrika, magsasaka sa bukirin, mangingisda sa karagatan, hanggang sa mga propesyonal at lingkod sa iba’t ibang sektor. Sila ang tahimik ngunit makapangyarihang puwersa na patuloy na nagtutulak sa ating bansa pasulong, sa kabila ng mga hamon at pagsubok na kinahaharap araw-araw.

Sa araw na ito, hindi lamang pagkilala ang ating ipinapaabot kundi panawagan din para sa mas makatarungang sahod, mas ligtas at makataong kondisyon sa paggawa, at mas matibay na proteksyon sa karapatan ng bawat manggagawa. Nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala na ang tunay na pag-unlad ay nakakamit lamang kung ang bawat isa ay nabibigyan ng dignidad, respeto, at sapat na oportunidad.

Patuloy nating itaguyod ang kultura ng malasakit at pagkakaisa—sapagkat sa sama-samang pagkilos, mas makakamit natin ang isang lipunang makatarungan, inklusibo, at progresibo para sa lahat.

Young Movers Officers Hold First Special Meeting, Set Direction for 2026–2027

The officers of the Alliance of Competent Young Movers formally conducted their 1st Special Meeting as part of the organization’s early preparations for the 2026–2027 term, focusing on the formulation of renewed goals and strategic directions.

During the meeting, the Young Movers outlined key plans for the coming weeks, with emphasis on the development of the organization’s General Plan of Actions for 2026 and 2027. Discussions also centered on proposed agendas related to Global Mobility and the group’s planned initiatives in line with the Pasig City Youth Development Council.

In addition, the officers deliberated on the conduct of capacity-building workshops, particularly on Program, Project, and Activity (PPA) Crafting and Priority Setting, to ensure a structured and goal-oriented approach for the upcoming term.

The meeting marked a significant step in strengthening the organization’s strategic planning and reaffirming its commitment to proactive youth leadership and development.
