Serbisyong Ngiti: A Rotary Club of Mutya ng Pasig Initiative
Unite for Good
The Rotary Club of Mutya ng Pasig successfully led the Serbisyong Ngiti Dental Mission Project, a meaningful initiative aligned with Rotary’s call to Unite for Good, delivering essential oral healthcare services to the community—especially in light of ongoing economic challenges.
In partnership with ONELGBT PASIG, the Barangay Palatiw Council under the leadership of Kap Bobot Guevarra, the Office of Councilor Kiko Rustia, the Palatiw Pride Organization, and Kagawad Dory Cruz as a key partner, the project successfully provided free dental services to approximately 200 beneficiaries, who underwent tooth extraction and oral prophylaxis.
The initiative was carried out with the full support of the club’s leadership—Blessee Tech, Cathay Tech, and Lolet Austria—whose guidance and commitment strengthened the impact of this service project.
The presence and active participation of Rotarians—Rotarian Ria, Rotarian Jari, Rotarian Naye Santos, Leriza Ramos Revilla, and John Cruz, who serves as the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Mutya ng Pasig and the President of ONELGBT PASIG—further embodied the spirit of unity, service, and inclusive community engagement.
This initiative was made possible through the dedicated service of volunteer dentists:
Dr. Rogelio Melgar Jr., Dr. Mishael Worker Dinglas, Dr. Sarah Jane Alayon, Dr. France Joy Bonagua, Dr. Tiffany Mae Dy Guazo, Dr. Mika Takahashi, Dr. Anne Maenne Jucutan, Dr. Auvia Marianne Bernabe, Dr. Cristina Alvarez, Dr. Adrian Letigar, and Dr. Tricia Antonette P. Sapasap.
The mission was also supported by volunteer nurses—Rin D. Jose, Rosario Stephanie Ornum, Daryl Jake S. Fornolles, and Myracle I. De Torres—who assisted in patient registration, conducted vital signs monitoring prior to procedures, and performed initial assessments to ensure patient safety and readiness.
All dental instruments used during the mission were properly sterilized in accordance with standard health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and healthcare providers.
This project stands as a testament to Rotary’s guiding principle of “Service Above Self” and its call to Unite for Good, demonstrating how collective action creates meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of the community.
