Ausome Maps

Ausome Maps Ausome Maps aims to update and enrich OSM by adding therapy clinics and schools with SPED classes. And fewer than 10 pois are identified as places for therapy.

In the Philippines, out of over 5000 map points of interest (pois) identified as a school, only 12 are tagged as ‘special needs’ (the tag that makes it differentiable in the map). According to the Philippine Association of Speech Pathologists(PASP) and Philippine Academy of Occupational Therapists(PAOT), in NCR alone, there are over 40 clinics with speech therapy and 29 clinics with occupational t

herapy. The National Council on Disability Affairs(NCDA) identified 71 schools to have special education classes in Quezon City alone. With all these data available but not mapped, this project aims to update and enrich OpenStreetMap by adding these therapy clinics, schools with SPED classes, and establishments geared toward the development of differently abled Filipinos as POIs in the map.

Today, 2 April 2026, we join communities globally in celebrating World Autism Awareness Day with the theme “Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value.”

This observance calls on us to recognize the inherent dignity and worth of every individual on the autism spectrum. It is a reminder that embracing neurodiversity holds a vital role in shaping stronger institutions that ensure more inclusive approaches in healthcare, education, gender equality, and economic opportunities, among others.

As we foster communities that allow them to freely flourish, let us build a just and inclusive world, one that truly lives by the belief that every life has value and every person matters. 💙💛
