Good Governance is doable. You put people’s welfare first…look at Pasig.
𝗜𝗻 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘅𝗲𝘀,
𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲.
As of July 1, we now pay 20% tax on interest income.
And that’s not all...there’s a proposal to increase capital gains, estate, and donor’s tax from 6% to 10%. Buti nalang winidraw na.
Why?
Because the national government wants to raise ₱300 billion by 2030.
And the narrative?
“Kailangan natin ‘to para sa ekonomiya.”
But let’s be real....
Is it really the economy that’s broken?
Or is it the way the system is run?
_______________
While the rest of the country is being asked to give more,
Pasig is showing what real governance looks like.
Mayor Vico Sotto is saving ₱1 billion every year.....no new taxes.
Paano?
✔ Transparent governance
✔ Anti-corruption
✔ Proper allocation of public funds
Instead of squeezing the people, he’s serving them.
Just recently, Pasig announced this:
Free Master’s and Doctorate degrees for public school teachers.
Libre. Walang dagdag na buwis.
Just good leadership.
Kasi kung tutuusin…
Ang daming nasasayang.
Ang daming nawawala sa sistema.
Tapos ang solusyon?
Dagdag buwis?
Let’s not pretend this is the only way.
Higher taxes won’t fix a broken system.
Good leadership will.
Kung kaya ni Vico sa Pasig…
Bakit hindi sa buong bansa?
So next time someone says,
“Wala tayong budget,”
Just smile and say:
“Eh sa Pasig nga, meron.”
It’s not magic.
It’s just what happens when you put people first.
REALITY 💯
