🌱🎉 First Harvest Celebration at Brgy. Pagkalinawan! 🎉🌱

Last Friday, August 8, 2025, the community of Brgy. Pagkalinawan proudly celebrated the first bountiful harvest from their community garden — a milestone made possible through the leadership of Barangay Captain Felix Masicat Sangalang and the unwavering dedication of the residents.

With the support of the Harbest Foundation – Support and Development Program, this three-month journey of planting, nurturing, and learning has grown into a vibrant showcase of unity, sustainability, and hope. 🌿💚

Through this program, communities are empowered to:
🌼 Beautify and cultivate local gardens
🥕 Promote backyard vegetable growing
👧 Help combat malnutrition
💪 Provide families with additional income for daily needs

This harvest is more than fresh produce — it’s living proof of what we can accomplish when we work hand in hand. Here’s to greener spaces, healthier families, and a stronger community! 🌾🌻

🌱 Nourishing Minds, One Meal at a Time 🥦

On July 31, 2025, Harbest Foundation had the heartfelt opportunity to support the Feeding Program of Sipsipin Elementary School through a special vegetable distribution.

Fresh, naturally grown vegetables from our Harbest Jala-Jala Demo Farm were delivered straight to the school. These wholesome ingredients don’t just fill hungry stomachs; they give young minds the nourishment they need to focus, learn, and grow strong - body and brain alike.

This initiative goes beyond filling plates. It’s about planting seeds of hope, promoting healthy habits, and supporting the full potential of every child.

We extend our deepest thanks to the devoted teachers and supportive parents who continue to teach children the value of nutritious food. Your love and guidance truly feed both mind and body.

Together, we grow. 🌱

🌱 Meet Connie Logatiman from Cadiz, Negros Occidental - a proud graduate of Harbest Foundation’s Trainer’s Training Program and a dedicated member of the Sewahon 3 Farmers Association. With 15 years of experience in natural farming, she continues to inspire her community through her passion and purpose.
💚 For Ms. Connie, farming is life. It provides 70% of her family’s daily food and income. Thanks to the technical training from Harbest Foundation, she has sharpened her skills in seedling production, crop care, and the preparation of fertilizers that nourish her plants.
👩‍🌾 She encourages the new generation of farmers to keep learning, stay curious, and be open to adopting modern technologies to make farming more productive and to improve their quality of life.
🌾 With knowledge, dedication, and support, farmers like Connie are showing us how agriculture can lead to food security, resilience, and hope for generations to come.

LAMANG ANG MAY KAALAMAN!

Having the right farming knowledge doesn’t just boost income — it creates healthier communities, especially for our children.

The people of Brgy. Lubo, Jala-Jala, Rizal have shown what’s possible when knowledge is paired with effort and consistency. Through their persistent care and commitment to maintaining their community garden, they not only improved their harvests — they also increased their profits and made a lasting impact on the well-being of their fellow barangay members, addressing seasonal malnutrition and better health among the children in their area.
