๐—–๐—”๐—š๐—”๐—ฌ๐—”๐—ก ๐——๐—˜ ๐—ข๐—ฅ๐—ข ๐—–๐—œ๐—ง๐—ฌโ€”The Philippine Heart Association (PHA) Northwestern Mindanao Chapter unveiled new efforts to bring heart disease prevention, CPR training, and early emergency care to remote provinces across Northwestern Mindanao and Caraga.

During the induction of the chapterโ€™s 2026โ€“2027 officers on Aug. 8 at the Limketkai Luxe Hotel, regional and national PHA leaders announced programs focused on barangay-based screening, community education, stronger referral systems, and expanded support for cardiology training and research in Mindanao.

The distribution of cardiologists in the 5 provinces of Cagayan Valley Region shows: Batanes โ€“ 1, Cagayan โ€“ 9, Isabela โ€“ 14, Nueva Vizcaya โ€“ 4, and Quirino โ€“ 0.
