The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced on Wednesday, April 8, a daily minimum wage increase of 25 pesos for the private sector in the Bicol Region, from 435 pesos to 455 pesos.

Umarangkada na naman ang double-digit na dagdag sa presyo ng diesel ngayong Martes.

Epektibo kaninang alas-sais ng umaga, ipinatupad ng mga kumpanya ng langis ang panibagong taas-presyo sa mga produktong petrolyo.

Nagdagdag ang Shell ng P19.80 sa kada litro ng diesel, habang P5.90 sa gasolina at P9.10 sa kerosene.

Mas mababa ng piso ang presyo sa Petron, kung saan P18.80 per liter ang itinaas sa diesel, habang P4.90 sa gasolina at P8.10 sa kerosene.

Mas mura rin ng bahagya sa Seaoil na P17.95 per liter ang increase sa diesel, habang kapareho lang sa Petron ang dagdag-presyo sa gasolina at kerosene.

Mamayang alas-diyes ng umaga naman epektibo ang P18 na dagdag ng Petro Gazz sa kada litro ng diesel, habang P5 sa gasolina.

With humility and trust, let us now turn to God in prayer.

Almighty God, we remember today the suffering and death of Your Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross. We thank You for His ultimate sacrifice for our redemption, and for the gift of eternal life through His resurrection. Forgive us our sins and grant us the grace to live lives that reflect Your love and compassion. Help us to carry our crosses with grace and joy, knowing that through Your Son, we are not alone in our suffering. We ask this in Jesus's name. Amen.

Matatanggap na ng 139,000 tricycle drivers sa Metro Manila ang P5,000 cash relief assistance sa ilalim ng Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) simula bukas, March 17.
Ito’y bilang tugon sa utos ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., na bigyan ng agarang tulong ang mga apektadong sektor sa gitna ng krisis sa langis dulot ng nagpapatuloy na gulo sa Middle East.
Aktibong nakikipag-ugnayan ang Department of Transportation (DOTr) sa DSWD at mga lokal na pamahalaan para sa pamamahagi ng ayuda.
“Ang ginagawa namin ngayon sa DOTR, LTFRB, kailangan na namin ibigay yung listahan pagdating sa other transport groups. So, nakumpleto na namin yung TNVS, motorcycle taxis at kinukumpleto pa din namin yung ibang listahan namin and we're coordinating closely pagdating sa delivery riders,” ani Sec. Lopez.
Ayon kay DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, magkakaroon ng help desks sa bawat payout sites para sa anumang concern sa ayuda.
“Sa mga driver natin, simple lang ang dadalhin ninyo bukas, driver’s license, original pati isang photocopy. Yun lang, wala na pong iba pang dokumento. Ito ay alinsunod sa direktiba ng ating Pangulo na tulungan ang ating mga tsuper pero siguraduhin din na mabilis ang proseso,” ayon kay Sec. Gatchalian.
Nilinaw naman ni Sec. Lopez na magkaibang programa ang ipatutupad ng DSWD at DOTr para sa mga drivers at operators na apektado ng big-time oil price hike.
“Linawin ko lang po, dalawang programa po ito. Sa AICS po limang libo po iyan. Alalahanin natin na mayroon ding P2.5-B fuel subsidy under DOTr. Ano ba yung mga transport modalities under the LTFRB na kasama dito: buses - provincial, metro, P2P. Taxis - regular taxis natin, jeepney whether modern or traditional tapos school service,” ayon kay Sec. Lopez.
Kasama din sa makatatanggap ng fuel subsidy ang TNVS, airport at MC taxis. Sa oras na makuha ang pondo para sa fuel subsidy, agad na sisimulan ang distribusyon nito.
