As we celebrate the Memorial of Saints Martha, Mary, and Lazarus today, we are reminded of their profound devotion, hospitality, and unwavering faith. It is that same spirit that has fueled our journey over the past year as we continue to build excitement, spread awareness, and pray for the realization of this monumental step forward for San Juan de Dios Educational Foundation Inc.

While the Miracle Building is still a dream in the making, its purpose is crystal clear: to bridge our vital hospital services and our dynamic college education into one unified, compassionate space.

As San Juan de Dios Hospital celebrates 448 years as the Oldest Private Hospital in the Philippines (serving since 1578!), we are reminded of the rich history that connects us all. But we aren't just looking back—we're dreaming big for the future.

Quick History Check: Why May 28? 📖
A Massive "W" for the PH: National Flag Days officially kick off today to commemorate the historic Battle of Alapan in 1898. Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo led our revolutionary forces to a major victory against a large Spanish force in Imus, Cavite. ⚔️

The Ultimate Reveal: To celebrate this win, Aguinaldo unfurled the new National Flag to the Filipino people for the very first time at the Teatro Caviteño!

The OG Aesthetic: Hand-sewn in Hong Kong, the flag featured the iconic red and blue fields, a white triangle, three stars, and the eight-rayed sun. This historic banner is the exact blueprint for the colors we proudly wave today. ☀️⭐

Today, we celebrated Healthworkers’ Day by turning the tables and "caring for our carers." It was a day filled with much-needed pampering, wellness, and fellowship for our dedicated team—because those who serve our Masters, the poor, truly deserve the very best. 🩺✨

A huge THANK YOU to our ASD and GSSD Teams for making our healthcare heroes feel so special.
As we celebrate our team today, we are reminded of our mission to grow.

The spirit of the Annunciation is all about saying "Yes" to a grand vision, and that is exactly what the SJDEFI community did during our recent Architectural Forum. As we reflect on the events of March 26, we are filled with gratitude for the collective "Yes" that is bringing our 10-floor Miracle Building to life.

This gathering was a powerful "meeting of minds" to shape the initial realization of our dream. Held in honor of the Blessed Mother Mary, this project is a true testament to our shared faith and mission.

A Unified Vision for Excellence 🤝
Our stakeholders brought their expertise and brilliant ideas to the table, ensuring every floor of this new space reflects our commitment to the community:

Clinical Collaboration: Clinical Department Heads, Section Heads, and Hospital Management spent the morning session detailing the future of our healthcare services.

Academic Growth: Our wonderful College Administration and staff dedicated the afternoon to envisioning new possibilities for our students.

Community Input: Every suggestion provided at the Fray Juan Holistic Center serves as a vital piece of the architectural puzzle.
