May 20, 2025, 6:00 am, a fine tuesday morning. The day where BEADS, will be implemented. ๐
โ
โIt may seem too early, but it's not expected for children to rise up just for a program from people they barely know, it is much more of a fact with their respective parents.
โ
โBut this set time, is not actually for the children, it's for the committees. The venue was a multi purpose hall of the barangay they chose. It's not exactly clean, and they still had to decorate the place, to make it a comfortable space for the children.
โ
โIt was indeed a tiring morning, they swept the floor, moved the tables, and prepared the chairs. However, it was not all work and serious preparations. During that time, some of the members used the speaker that was provided, to entertain the others through song. The teamwork was almost unbelievable, as everyone was moving and doing something. Everyone was dedicated to their role.
โ
โOf course, every bit of those moments were captured. Every memory was recorded. This too, was a role for certain people. Even if everyone was tired and stressed, they still smile for the camera, as everything was worth it.
โ
โRight before they actually finished preparing, a child, who seemed to have only woken up, entered the venue. A gush of emotions surely flowed through the members. Excitement, curiosity, and maybe anxiety. Not everyone is good with kids after all.
โ
โ
โThey approached this young boy, and asked him a lot of questions. They conversed, and thought, "this is just the start". After that, children entered the venue one by one. They even invited their friends. Because of this, the news spread out, and kids filled the venue for not long.
โ
โ
โIt was overwhelming, but fulfilling. It was fascinating how the children easily opened up to the members, asking them for help, and even taking pictures with them.
โ
โIt seems true that the early bird gets the worm. A child was staring from the outside, wanting to join in. But the program already started, and the barangay officials told him that he woke up too late for it. It is a shame, that with the current capabilities of the project members, they couldn't possibly bring smiles to every child. That seems like a solid goal, in any case.
โ
โBut they tried their best to reach out, as far as their hands could. As a result, lots of colorful creations were brought to life. Necklaces and chokers, rings and bracelets, were magnificently crafted by the children's little hands, with minimal guide from the members.
โ
โ"It's going to end soon", they said, but surely, the memories and experiences, will go on for as long as they can imagine. All those smiles, connection, bonding, and interactions that happened while crafting, lit up the whole room, and made the atmosphere happier.
โ
โ
โWith that, the objective of the project was achieved. ๐ฝ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐๏ธ๐โจ๐ made it possible for the children to smile through art, emphasizing the children's creativity and craftmanship.
โ
โIn the near future, if fate and circumstances will allow, we'll surely want to conduct a community project again, so we can continue
