🌱 Growing Sustainability, Growing Hope

Last July 25, 2026, our Community Garden and Sustainability Seminar at Golden Horizon, Trece Cavite brought our community together to learn how we can care for our environment while growing healthy and sustainable sources of food.

We are especially grateful to Kuya Joms, our guest speaker and one of the key supporters who helped initiate and nurture our very own Community Garden. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, time, and passion for sustainable living with our community.

Together, let’s continue planting seeds—not only for food, but for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future. 🌱💚

From Planting Together to Harvesting Together! 🌱

In just one month, our residential children experienced the joy of harvesting the vegetables they planted and nurtured together. Under the guidance and supervision of our ResCare‘s Staff, they happily harvested their first produce of kangkong, alugbati, and ampalaya leaves, while continuing to care for the other vegetables growing in their mini- garden, including chili pepper,
spinach, onion leaves, tomatoes, mustard greens, eggplant, and string beans.

This gardening activity not only provided fresh and nutritious vegetables but also taught the children the values of patience, responsibility, teamwork and perseverance. More importantly, it served as a healthy and therapeutic outlet, helping them redirect their emotions in a positive way while experiencing the joy and
satisfaction of caring for plants and watching them grow.

Their smiles during the harvest remind us that every seed planted with love and nurtured with care brings hope, growth, and meaningful life lessons.

Last week, through our Community Outreach Program at PCC Palanyag Community Center, parents and children received Biogesic syrup to help support their health and well-being.

Recently, the SPECS Foundation team gathered for a 3-day Team Building in Laiya, Batangas with the theme "Stronger Together". It was a meaningful time to strengthen relationships, build trust, encourage one another, and grow as one team united by a shared mission.

Beyond the fun and relaxation, this experience reminded us that when we work together with unity, collaboration, and purpose, we are better equipped to serve children, families, and communities with excellence and compassion.
