๐ก๐๐ช๐ฆ | 755 SHS Students Cast Votes in One Arellano Elections 2026
A total of 755 out of 1,458 Senior High School (SHS) students participated in the One Arellano Elections 2026, recording a voter turnout of 51.78%, according to data released by the Commission on Elections โ Apolinario Mabini Campus.
Among the academic strands, the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand posted the highest number of voters with 290, accounting for 38.4% of the total turnout. This was followed by the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand with 163 voters (21.6%), and the Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strand with 144 voters (19.1%).
The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) strand registered 118 voters, making up 15.6% of the total. Meanwhile, the General Academic Strand (GAS) recorded 28 voters (3.7%), and the Sports Track had the lowest turnout with 12 voters, equivalent to 1.6%.
The election, held as part of the One Arellano Elections 2026, aimed to give SHS students the opportunity to exercise their right to vote and take part in student leadership selection. The turnout reflects a moderate level of participation among the student body, with certain strands showing stronger engagement than others.
Despite achieving more than half of the total student population, the data suggests that there is still room to further encourage participation, particularly among strands with lower voter turnout. School organizations and student leaders are expected to continue promoting voter awareness and involvement in future elections to ensure a more inclusive and representative electoral process.
