🌠 On October 25, 2025 marked the grand culmination of the 75th Anniversary of the Society of Aerospace Engineers of the Philippines (SAEP) — the proud national organization that embodies the spirit and excellence of Aeronautical Engineers in the country.

It was truly heartwarming to look back at our humble beginnings and witness how far we have come. The evening was a tribute to decades of dedication, innovation, and unity— and to the men and women whose achievements continue to uplift and inspire our profession.

Here’s to 75 years of soaring together, and to many more years of breaking new horizons for Philippine Aeronautical Engineering. ✈️💫

The Society of Aerospace Engineers of the Philippines (SAEP) is now accepting nominations for the prestigious SAEP Awards! 🌟 These awards recognize excellence in various fields of Aeronautical Engineering and its impact on the industry. Whether it's education, innovation, sustainability, or global competitiveness, we want to celebrate the best of the best!

Here are the award categories open for nominations:

1. Aeronautical Engineers Enterprise Impact Award- Recognizing Aeronautical Engineers who are business owners and contribute to the employment of fellow engineers.

2. Pioneering Aeronautical Education Award- Recognizing the first-ever Aeronautical school in the Philippines that introduced Aeronautical Engineering.

3. Premier Institution in Aeronautical Engineering Board Success- Recognizing the institution with the most Aeronautical Engineering board topnotchers from 1950 to present.

4. Excellence in Partnership for Aeronautical Education Award- Recognizing SAEP partner educational institutions that have produced Aeronautical Engineering graduates who passed the PRC AE licensure exam.

A Historic Moment! The first-ever Special Professional Licensure Exam (SPLE) for Aeronautical Engineers concluded with a mass oath-taking event held at the Abu Dhabi Country Club, United Arab Emirates, on August 23, 2025. Congratulations to the new Aeronautical Engineers! We hope you will become an active member of our society. About Aisha Bowe:

Aisha Bowe is a trailblazing Bahamian-American aerospace engineer, STEM advocate, and entrepreneur. She served as a rocket scientist at NASA's Ames Research Center, where she contributed to the development of next-generation air traffic management systems and nanosatellite missions. Beyond her significant contributions at NASA, Ms. Bowe is the founder and CEO of STEMBoard, a technology company specializing in engineering and IT solutions, and LINGO, an educational tech company dedicated to making STEM accessible through hands-on coding kits. She is also slated to be the first Black woman to travel to space with Blue Origin, further cementing her legacy as a pioneer in the aerospace industry. Her journey from community college to NASA and successful entrepreneurship serves as a powerful inspiration for aspiring scientists and engineers worldwide.

Founded in 1950 by pioneering aeronautical engineering graduates led by Dr. Gregorio Y. Zara, SAEP has been at the forefront of professionalizing, promoting, and advocating for the aeronautical engineering field in the Philippines.

Key Milestones in Our Journey:

Spearheaded the passage of Presidential Decree No. 1570 on June 11, 1978, which legally regulated the practice of aeronautical engineering in the country.
Recommended the first members of the Board of Aeronautical Engineering, leading to the first board exam in July 1983.
Officially incorporated and re-named as the Society of Aerospace Engineers of the Philippines in March 1984, accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission on April 30, 1984.

Join us as we commemorate seven and a half decades of service to the aerospace and aeronautical engineering profession in the Philippines—an enduring legacy shaped by visionary leaders, successive generations of engineers, and strategic partners.
