ICAP extends its heartiest greetings to the people of Telangana, a state "South of North and North of South" on this happy occasion of its 12th year of State Formation Day!

June 2 is celebrated every year as Telangana Formation Day as this is the day when the Telangana state was officially formed in 2014. Telangana Formation Day is not just a date on the calendar; it’s a celebration of resilience, identity, and achievement. It highlights the importance of democratic demands, regional representation, and people-powered governance. The day serves as a reminder of what can be achieved through collective determination. From its historical movements to the vibrant cultural festivities, Telangana Formation Day is a symbol of a region that fought for its rightful place on the map of India—and won.

The official theme for Telangana Formation Day 2026 focuses on cultural pride and historical resilience: "Telangana Aatma… Mana Samskruti… Mana Garvam" (Telangana's Soul... Our Culture... Our Pride).

Telangana, the 29th and youngest state of India, formally recognized on June 2, 2014, is a treasure trove of tourist destinations. Telangana is known for its hospitality and multicultural and pluralistic society.

May Telangana continue to shine with its vibrant culture, unity, and progressive vision.

ICAP pays heartfelt tributes to the legendary queen and visionary leader, Ahilyabai Holkar, on her 301st birth anniversary.

Revered as Lokmata, Ahilyabai Holkar was not only a just and compassionate ruler but also a remarkable administrator who transformed the Malwa kingdom into a model of good governance. At a time when India faced political instability, she led with wisdom, courage, and deep spiritual conviction.

Her unparalleled contributions to preserving India’s cultural and religious heritage remain timeless. She played a pivotal role in the restoration and reconstruction of several sacred sites, including Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Somnath Temple, and numerous temples, ghats, and dharmashalas across the country, ensuring that the spiritual fabric of Bharat remained strong for generations to come.

A symbol of strength, devotion, and selfless leadership, her legacy continues to inspire millions.

ICAP extends the heartiest greetings to the people of Goa, the Land of Sun, Sand, and Beaches on this happy occasion of its 40th Statehood Day!

30th May marks a significant day in Goan history, symbolizing the people's struggle to preserve their unique identity. After liberation from Portuguese rule in December 1961, debates arose over merging Goa with neighboring states. However, the 1967 Opinion Poll—the only referendum in independent India—affirmed Goa, Daman & Diu as a separate Union Territory. Persistent demands by political parties led to Goa being granted statehood on 30th May 1987, through the 56th Constitutional Amendment.

In 2026, as we celebrate this special milestone, we also honor Goa’s vibrant heritage—its music, cuisine, festivals, and harmonious blend of traditions that continue to inspire generations across the globe.

May the spirit of Goa always shine bright with progress, unity, and cultural pride.

ICAP wishes everyone a blessed Eid al-Adha!

Eid-Al-Adha is a festival celebrated by Muslims all over the world. It is also referred to as the ‘festival of sacrifice’. The festival is celebrated to honour the willingness of Ibrahim, the messenger in Islam, to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command.

Eid-Al-Adha is also referred to as Eid-Al-Zuha or Bakr Eid. The word “id” originates from the Arabic word “iwd” which translates to “festival” and the word “zuha” originates from “uzhaiyya” meaning “sacrifice”.

Muslims around the world celebrate in the memory of the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim, as they believe that Allah (God) instructed Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Ishmael. Ibrahim faithfully followed God’s orders, but just as the sacrifice was about to be made God replaced Ishmael with a lamb.

On this sacred occasion, may the spirit of sacrifice, compassion, and generosity fill our hearts and homes. Eid al-Adha reminds us of the values of faith, devotion, and sharing with those in need. Let us come together to celebrate unity, kindness, and the beauty of giving.

ICAP extends heartfelt appreciation to Chinmaya Mission Philippines for organizing a truly divine and uplifting community gathering “Chant Mahaveer”

It was a powerful experience to witness 400+ voices united in devotion, creating a vibrant wave of energy as hundreds came together in the chanting of the sacred Hanuman Chalisa. The collective spirit, discipline, and devotion reflected the true essence of community and spiritual harmony. Such moments not only strengthen cultural roots but also inspire unity, positivity, and inner strength among all participants.

Special kudos to the dedicated singing choir from Indian Diaspora for their soulful rendition of the Hanuman Chalisa chanted 11 times, creating an atmosphere of deep devotion. Appreciation to the young children who beautifully recited verses from the Bhagavad Gita, inspiring everyone with their confidence and understanding of timeless wisdom. Also appreciation to the Pujaris for conducting the Havan & pooja so gracefully at the altars, adding sanctity and a divine presence to the entire event.

ICAP looks forward to many more such meaningful collaborations that uplift the community and spread light through devotion and culture.
