🛡️ 𝓢𝓪𝓯𝓮𝓻 𝓒𝓱𝓲𝓵𝓭𝓻𝓮𝓷, 𝓢𝓽𝓻𝓸𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓻 𝓒𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓮𝓼 🤝

The widespread use of the internet has transformed the world into a highly connected digital environment. While technology has created countless opportunities for learning and communication, it has also opened new avenues for perpetrators to exploit and abuse children. This reality calls for collective action from families, communities, and organizations to ensure the safety and protection of every child.

At AWYFI, our mission extends beyond providing financial assistance to our students. We are equally committed to promoting the holistic development and protection of children through educational and awareness-building activities. One of the most effective ways to empower children is by educating them about their rights and equipping them with the knowledge needed to recognize and respond to potential threats.

As part of this initiative, AWYFI invited 𝐌𝐬. 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐣𝐨 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 to serve as the Resource Speaker for the activity. She provided valuable insights on children's rights, responsible internet use, and the dangers of online sexual abuse and exploitation. She also emphasized strategies that children and parents can adopt to stay safe online. Through the seminar, participants were equipped with the knowledge and awareness needed to identify potential risks, protect themselves from online threats, and promote a safer digital environment.

Christmas is a season that reminds us of the beauty of giving, sharing, and caring for one another. It is a time when hearts are filled with gratitude, hope, and generosity. More than the gifts exchanged, the true spirit of Christmas is found in the love we share, the compassion we show, and the joy we bring to those around us.

Embracing this spirit, AWYFI organized a Christmas Gathering Activity for its students from different areas. The event was more than a joyous occasion, it was an opportunity to bring everyone together as one community, creating a space filled with laughter, friendship, and cherished memories. Through fun activities, shared moments, and the spirit of giving, the gathering reflected AWYFI's commitment not only to providing educational opportunities but also to nurturing a sense of belonging and care among its students.

DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT ORIENTATION

Today's preparation is tomorrow's protection. 🛟⚠️

Emergencies and disasters can occur when we least expect them, making preparedness an essential part of ensuring safety and resilience. Recognizing the importance of disaster awareness and readiness, various AWYFI areas (Baguio, Batangas, Palawan, Pangasinan, Pasay, and Quezon Province) conducted a Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Orientation in partnership with their respective City/Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (CDRRMOs/MDRRMOs). The activity aimed to equip students and their parents with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively during emergencies and disaster situations.

Through informative discussions and practical guidance from disaster management professionals, participants learned about disaster preparedness, risk reduction measures, emergency response procedures, and the importance of remaining calm and alert during crises. This initiative highlights AWYFI's dedication to strengthening students' and parents' skills and preparedness through meaningful educational activities.
