Smoothly and meaningful school supplies distribution was conducted to all areas of AWYFI. Helping students to get the materials they need can make such a big difference in their confidence and readiness to learn. Eye Check-Up Updates
Continuing Vision Care for Isla Verde Residents

Following the 3-day Medical Mission held on February 25-27, 2025, several patients with eye conditions were referred to the foundation’s partner ophthalmologist, Dr. Sandoval, for specialized care. Thanks to the generous support of Chance for Growth Germany, the funding donor of Always With You Foundation Inc., these patients are receiving the treatment they need. Progress updates are as follows:

Completed Procedures
• Pterygium Surgery (April 30, 2025): Two patients successfully underwent the procedure. Their stitches will be removed on May 13, 2025, and they are recovering well. Cataract surgery will be scheduled after 3 months.

Upcoming Treatments
• Cataract Cases: Four patients were diagnosed with cataracts and are currently being scheduled for surgery. Coordination with Dr. Sandoval is ongoing to finalize their procedure dates.
• Second Batch Check-Up (May 9, 2025): The next group of referred patients will have their consultations.
• Additional Referrals: The remaining patients will be scheduled based on Dr. Sandoval’s availability, with updates to follow soon.

Eyeglasses Assistance
• Reading Glasses: Two patients will receive donated reading glasses from Dr. Sandoval.
• Prescription Eyeglasses: Two others were given prescriptions and will be assisted in acquiring their corrective lenses.

Further Diagnostics
• OCT Scan at Batangas Medical Center: One patient underwent an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scan on May 7, 2025. The team is awaiting the results to determine the next steps in treatment.

The patients of Isla Verde, Batangas City, would like to express their deepest gratitude to Chance for Growth Germany for their unwavering support in bringing essential eye care services to their community. And might as well, through the efforts of Always With You Foundation Inc., Dr. Sandoval, and the assistance of the foundation’s partner Nurse, Ms. Elna Collera, this successful and on-going eye care services became possible.

In the third quarter, the foundation, in partnership with Psyzygy Psychological Center, conducted three webinar sessions on Healthy Study Habits for its beneficiaries across all areas of operation. The sessions provided practical guidelines on maintaining self-care while achieving academic excellence.
