The Cebu Squadron proudly welcomed MGEN RONIE D PETINGLAY PAF, Commander of AFRC, during his Talk to Men Visit at 5th ARCEN.

Our team had the opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the 124th Philippine Air Force ARU (Eagelcom) Command Vehicle—highlighting our readiness in communications, coordination, and mission support.

As a symbol of our respect and gratitude, tokens were presented to the AFRC Commander and the 5th ARCEN Commander.

Project Linaw Mata: Restoring Sight, Renewing Lives

In partnership with the Dagupan City Government and the Tzu Chi Medical Foundation Philippines, the 124th Philippine Air Force ARU (Eaglecom) stood on the ground at CSI Stadia Dagupan with one mission:

Give sight. Restore hope. Empower lives.

For many of our countrymen, vision is livelihood. To see clearly is to work, to provide, and to care for family.

Over two days, we served 671 patients—each one a story, a second chance.

From life-changing surgeries to simple reading glasses, every intervention mattered:
* Cataract surgeries (removal of cloudy lenses to restore clear vision)
* Lens removal procedures for severe eye conditions
* Retina surgeries (treatment of internal eye damage and bleeding)
* Laser treatments (for glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and vision correction)
* Retinal laser therapy to prevent blindness
* Eye imaging and diagnostic tests (detailed examination of eye health)
* Removal of abnormal eye growths (pterygium)
* Eyelid and eye socket repair surgeries
* Vision testing and prescription assessment
* Free eye drops and reading glasses
* Post-surgery care and specialist referrals

Some walked in with blurred vision.
Many walked out seeing clearly—for the first time in years.
This is what service looks like.

10 April 2026 | Drone Practical Exercise

In collaboration with AFRDC and the 710th SPOW, the 124th Philippine Air Force ARU (Eaglecom) took part in a Drone Practical Exercise aimed at the continuous sharpening of our collective drone operations capability.

Through this joint effort, we reinforce interoperability, share expertise, and strengthen our readiness as one unified force. Together, we enhance our ability to support missions that protect, assist, and serve the Filipino people.

Our Cebu-based squadron were honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for their vital support to the Minglanilla Municipal Police Station during the 2-day “Sugat sa Kabanhawan 2026.”

The recognition, awarded by PLTCOL ATTY Maria Theresa Macatangay, Acting Chief of Police, reflects the impact of disciplined coordination and mission-focused ex*****on on the ground and in the air.

Through aerial surveillance and multiple drone operations, 124th Philippine Air Force ARU (Eaglecom) played a key role in maintaining peace, order, and security throughout the event—demonstrating how modern capabilities and committed reservists can make a real difference in community safety.

124th Philippine Air Force ARU (Eaglecom) Conducts Successful CMO Mission with Tzu Chi Medical Foundation Philippines

On March 20, 2026, the 12th Philippine Air Force ARU (Eaglecom) successfully carried out a Civil-Military Operations (CMO) mission in partnership with Tzu Chi Medical Foundation Philippines, delivering much-needed medical services to underserved communities.

The activity catered to a total of 537 patients from various locations, all seeking much-needed medical care. The mission focused on providing accessible and timely medical attention to general patients, reinforcing the shared commitment of both organizations to humanitarian service.

Of the total patients served, 253 individuals were diagnosed and identified as candidates for surgical intervention, highlighting the critical impact of the outreach in addressing long-standing medical needs.

124th Philippine Air Force ARU (Eaglecom) personnel played a vital role in ensuring the smooth ex*****on of the mission—providing communications support, coordination, and operational assistance throughout the activity. Their involvement reflects the unit’s continuing dedication to service beyond traditional military roles, particularly in humanitarian assistance and community engagement.

This collaboration stands as another testament to the strong partnership between 124th Philippine Air Force ARU (Eaglecom) and Tzu Chi Medical Foundation, united by a common goal: to serve, support, and uplift communities in need.

HONOR IN SERVICE | EAGLECOM RECOGNIZED AT TRASLACION 2026

In recognition of their vital role in ensuring the safe, orderly, and peaceful conduct of Traslacion 2026, operators of the 124th Philippine Air Force ARU (Eaglecom) were awarded the Military Merit Medal by the National Capital Region Command (NCRCOM).

The award was formally received on behalf of the unit by COL VICENTE L LLAVE JR PAF (RES) (GSC), whose leadership continues to guide 124th PAF ARU (Eaglecom) in mission readiness and operational excellence.

This recognition reflects the dedication, discipline, and professionalism of our operators who served on the ground—working quietly, efficiently, and with unwavering commitment alongside partner units during one of the country’s largest religious events.

124th PAF ARU (Eaglecom) Provides Aerial and Communications Support During Sinulog 2026

The 124th PAF ARU (Eaglecom) – Cebu was deployed to provide critical security support during the Sinulog Festival 2026, participating in the fluvial and foot procession on January 17, 2026, and the grand festival parade on January 18, 2026.

The unit was the only organization tapped to deliver aerial surveillance and communications support, working in close coordination with various government security institutions fortifying the safety and security of millions of devotees and spectators throughout the two-day celebration.

The deployment was led by CPT ALFREDO TAN, Squadron Commander of the 2nd Squadron, 124th PAF ARU (Eaglecom) who underscored the significance of the mission. He noted that the 124th PAF ARU (Eaglecom) was the sole reserve unit entrusted with a high-level and skill-intensive operation, highlighting the professionalism, technical expertise, and operational readiness of its members.

Augmenting the Cebu contingent were seven (7) personnel from the 124th PAF ARU (Eaglecom) - National Capital Region (NCR). These personnel were deployed to several strategic areas of the festival, providing additional aerial and communications capabilities that further strengthened the overall security framework of the event.

CPT TAN shared that the unit’s performance was guided by the leadership and principles instilled by the 124th PAF ARU (Eaglecom) Group Commander, COL VICENTE L LLAVE JR PAF (RES) (GSC), who consistently reminds reservist members to serve the country to the best of their capabilities and to make their worth relevant to the communities they serve.

The successful deployment of the 124th PAF ARU (Eaglecom) during Sinulog 2026 demonstrated the vital role of reserve units in national security operations and reaffirmed their commitment to public service, professionalism, and mission excellence.
