September 20, 2026 | Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) Capacity Building Training – Batch 2

Empowered leaders create empowered communities.

Our partner barangays in Pasay City continued to strengthen their commitment to adolescent health and well-being through the ASRHR Capacity Building Training – Batch 2, with participants from Barangays 69, 91, and 145.

The training strengthened the knowledge and understanding of Barangay Officials and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) leaders on key ASRHR topics, including Understanding Adolescents, HIV and AIDS, Family planning, Gender-based violence (GBV), and the Pasay City ASRHR Ordinance.

More than gaining knowledge, the training equipped local leaders with practical insights to facilitate community discussions, support youth-friendly services, and develop community-based actions that promote the health, rights, and well-being of adolescents and young people.

Together, we continue to build empowered communities where young people are informed, supported, and heard.

This August - September, Community and Family Services International (CFSI) – Park Avenue Initiative (PAI) conducted ASRHR Awareness Sessions in Barangays 14, 69, 71, 72, 88, 90, 91, 92, 94, 145, and 193 in Pasay City as part of the implementation of RPA Phase 2.

The sessions provided young people with a safe and inclusive space to learn and engage in discussions on Pasay City’s Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) Ordinance, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), HIV and AIDS, and Family Planning. The activity aimed to strengthen awareness on early pregnancy prevention, STI/HIV prevention, and responsible sexual behavior, while empowering youth to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Following the sessions, CFSI also provided free and confidential HIV screening to participants who opted to access the service, connecting young people with accessible HIV prevention and testing services within their communities.
