Anakatira ANAKATIRA is a double-impact mentoring program offering scholarships, arts workshops, environmental and social work experience to young people in Cebu.

Anakatira is a double impact mentoring scheme. Youth are given universaity of highschool scholarship. They in turn do community outreach once a week, working with street children, orphans, out-of-school youth and impoverished kids. The program is now entering its 8th year, under the umbrella of local NGO, Cebu City Task Force On Street Children, established since 1989. Each new student batch becom

e candidates as potential โ€œsecond linersโ€ to further develop the organization. Today Anakatira counts 6 scholars who will become university graduates and over 100 children to be impacted by our activities. Anakatira is a non-profit independent organization that sustains itself as best as possible with private and corporate donations as well as creating innovative projects that enable its continued existence and to become increasingly self sufficient

Last Sunday was a day full of knowledge and energy! Before diving into the tutorial, we kicked things off with a warm-up exercise to energize the kids. They absolutely loved dancing and had so much fun! Once everyone was pumped up, we moved on to writing and math activities. To make sure they were following along, we included an oral math activity, which really helped us check their understanding. It was such a rewarding day spent with these bright young minds ๐Ÿ˜Š

Last Sunday, we had a productive and memorable session with the kids. We started with some energizing exercises to get everyone warmed up, followed by a reading session focused on improving their English skills. Afterward, we dove into some fun math practice, working on addition, subtraction, and multiplication. The kids were fully engaged, making this free Sunday tutorial a truly special and rewarding experience for everyone involved!
