"Damayan sa Bagyong Uwan"

Supported by Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies through the Center for Disaster Preparedness, under the DRR YIELdS project, we continue to stand in solidarity with the communities most affected by Typhoon Uwan. Our relief response reached Brgy. Labnig and Tabas in Paracale, and Brgy. Cayucyucan in Mercedes, where families are still facing the impacts of damaged homes, disrupted livelihoods, and the strain on their daily living.

In moments of crisis, timely action is not just necessary, it becomes a lifeline. These communities have carried the weight of the typhoon’s aftermath, and through this initiative, we hope to ease their burden, restore dignity, and remind them that their resilience is matched with support.

As they begin rebuilding, we remain committed to walking with them, one community, one family at a time.

📍 Brgy. Tabas – 664 families served

Managing Innovation and Sustainability Workshop.

On November 25-26, 2025, the Center for Disaster Preparedness, through the DRR YIELdS project, gathered the youth innovators of Paracale and Mercedes, Camarines Norte for the final leg of this year's activities.

Through interactive sessions on managing and sustaining their innovative solutions, along with psychosocial support activities. We stood alongside these young leaders as they built not only their projects, but also their confidence, creativity, and resilience.

Amid challenges, they continue to rise proving that when empowered, the youth are a powerful force for a safer and more resilient future.

TYPHOON SAFETY TIPS! 🚨

1. Stay Informed ❗
Keep up with weather reports and typhoon warnings from trusted sources like PAGASA, local news, or official social media channels. Knowing the typhoon’s path and strength helps you make timely decisions.

2. Prepare Emergency Kits 🎒
Pack essentials like bottled water, non-perishable food, first-aid supplies, medications, flashlights, batteries, important documents in waterproof bags, and hygiene items. Aim for at least three days’ worth of supplies.

3.Locate Evacuation Centers 🏥
Identify the nearest evacuation centers and plan routes. Make sure everyone in your household knows the location and how to get there. If advised to evacuate, move promptly and safely.

4. Charge All Devices 🔋
Fully charge mobile phones, power banks, and other essential devices. During power outages, these will be vital for communication and information access.

5. Secure Your Home 🏠
Reinforce windows and doors, trim any overhanging branches, and bring in outdoor furniture and plants. In flood-prone areas, elevate furniture and appliances to prevent damage.
