TYPHOON SAFETY TIPS! 🚨
1. Stay Informed ❗
Keep up with weather reports and typhoon warnings from trusted sources like PAGASA, local news, or official social media channels. Knowing the typhoon’s path and strength helps you make timely decisions.
2. Prepare Emergency Kits 🎒
Pack essentials like bottled water, non-perishable food, first-aid supplies, medications, flashlights, batteries, important documents in waterproof bags, and hygiene items. Aim for at least three days’ worth of supplies.
3.Locate Evacuation Centers 🏥
Identify the nearest evacuation centers and plan routes. Make sure everyone in your household knows the location and how to get there. If advised to evacuate, move promptly and safely.
4. Charge All Devices 🔋
Fully charge mobile phones, power banks, and other essential devices. During power outages, these will be vital for communication and information access.
5. Secure Your Home 🏠
Reinforce windows and doors, trim any overhanging branches, and bring in outdoor furniture and plants. In flood-prone areas, elevate furniture and appliances to prevent damage.
6. Know Emergency Contacts 📞
Keep a list of emergency numbers, including local disaster response teams, hospitals, and family contacts. Ensure everyone knows how to reach these contacts in an emergency.
