Don Bosco School of Theology

Don Bosco School of Theology The Don Bosco Schoo (DBCS) at Paranaque City, was established in 1972 to house the Salesian students of theology. In 1983 it opened its own school of theology.
(7)

We are a SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY & MINISTRY specialized in teaching the faith (Catechetics), guiding the young (Youth Ministry) assisting families (Family and Life). Four years later, it merited affiliation with the Faculty of Theology of the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome, thus empowering DBST to grant the ecclesiastical degree Bachelor in Sacred Theology. Many students, local, and foreign, fr

om other religious institutes came to enroll. In 1996 the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) authorized DBCS to confer the Master's Degree in Theology (MATh) and in Pastoral Ministry (MPM) formerly known as Religious Studies (MRS). Many religious and lay people came to take advantage of this theological, spiritual, and pastoral formation. DBST also offers Diploma and Certificate courses in Catechetics, Youth Ministry, Family and life, Spirituality, Consecrated Life, and Theology for the Laity. Other short courses and seminars on various current topics are being organized for updating and enrichment. Even high school graduates may enroll in some of these courses. Today, it stands to serve the same noble purpose. Under the new name: Don Bosco School of Theology.

Today’s word on That’s Greek to Me: Θεός (Theos) — God

Theos is not only the Creator of all things, but the God who enters into history, walks with His people, and calls us into relationship with Him.

To confess God as Theos is to recognize Him as the center of our lives, the source of our being, and the One worthy of all glory.

As Mother of Divine Grace, Mama Mary lovingly leads believers closer to Jesus, the true source of all grace and salvation.

Through her spiritual motherhood and faithful cooperation in God’s plan, she helps form hearts rooted in faith, mercy, and trust in Christ.

Thought to ponder:
How can you become more open to God’s grace and allow it to transform your daily life?🪻

At the foot of the Cross, Jesus entrusted humanity to Mama Mary’s care, making her the Mother of the Church.

Through her maternal guidance, Mama Mary helps the Church grow in holiness, love, and fidelity to Christ.

Thought to ponder:
How can you grow in love and service toward the Church and those around you today?🌸

On this feast of Mary Help of Christians, we honor our Blessed Mother who continually guides, protects, and accompanies the faithful with her loving intercession.

Like St. John Bosco, may we always turn to Mary with trust and confidence especially in moments of uncertainty, struggle, and prayer. May she lead us ever closer to her Son and teach us to live with humility, purity, courage, and love. Mary, Help of Christians, pray for us. 🙏

Today’s reflection reminds us that we are called not only to believe in Christ, but also to witness Him boldly through the power of the Holy Spirit. 🕊️

As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, may we be reminded that God calls each of us to live with courage, compassion, and purpose. May the Spirit renew our hearts, deepen our faith, and guide us in becoming witnesses of Christ in our everyday lives.

Come, Holy Spirit, and set our hearts on fire with Your love!

🌍 Day 7 - Community Participation
"Hindi tayo dapat isolated Christians."

Caring for creation becomes even more powerful when communities come together in faith, compassion, and action.

Laudato Si’ reminds us that even small acts of care and solidarity can bring hope and healing to our common home.

Today's challenge:
Nawa’y maging instrument tayo ng pag-asa, malasakit, at paghilom para sa ating common home. Together, let us continue building a culture of compassion, gratitude, and care for creation.

In the Upper Room, Mama Mary prayed with the Apostles as they awaited the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

As Queen of the Apostles, she continues to guide the Church, teaching us to remain open to the Spirit’s presence and courageous in living out our mission as disciples of Christ.

Thought to ponder:
How is the Holy Spirit inviting you to use your gifts in service to God and others today?🌷

🌍 Day 6 - Ecological Spirituality
"Ang care for creation ay spiritual mission."

Laudato Si’ reminds us that creation is one of the most beautiful ways we can encounter the presence of God.

When we slow down and appreciate the beauty of the world around us, we are reminded of a Creator who loves, sustains, and continues to work in our lives.

Today's challenge:
Spend a quiet moment today thanking God for the gift of creation. Subukan nating maging mas mulat sa ganda ng kalikasan at kilalanin ito bilang paalala ng pagmamahal ng Diyos.

This Flores de Maria invites us to contemplate Our Lady of Tears, the Mother whose grief reflects her deep love for humanity.

Even her silence becomes a prayer of intercession for a wounded world.

Thought to ponder:
What situation in your life needs to be touched by God’s mercy and peace today?🌺
