𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 | Municipal Mayor of Pasil, Kalinga, Atty. Silvestre Mosing, alongside Municipal Health Officer Dr. Aldrin Siwao joined a ‘Deep Dive,’ a guided community immersion to better understand factors affecting mental health, particularly among adolescents and the elderly.

The activity, designed as a multi-stakeholder conversation, provided space for community members to share their experiences and perspectives, helping leaders examine factors that shape mental health in Pasil and identify areas for local action.

Pasil is one of four pilot local government units in Kalinga participating in the Roberto R. Romulo (RRR) Program for Public Health Leadership and Governance of the Zuellig Family Foundation, alongside Tabuk City, Tanudan, and Tinglayan.

Marking LCF’s 30th Anniversary, our CSR Impact Stories series features the Zuellig Family Foundation’s Nutrition Leadership and Equity Acceleration Program (NutriLEAP), a 24-month initiative that equips provincial leaders and their teams with the skills and tools to address child stunting and malnutrition. 🌱🤝

Through executive sessions, community immersions, leadership and technical capacity building, and integrated provincial nutrition action planning, NutriLEAP strengthens systems integration, stakeholder engagement, and multi-sectoral collaboration.

Early results highlight reductions in stunting prevalence in Cotabato, Davao Oriental, and Dinagat Islands, while Tarlac, Negros Occidental, and Zamboanga del Norte have committed to improving nutrition outcomes in their provinces.

𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 | Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson participated in a community immersion activity in the municipality of San Enrique, meeting directly with a family whose child was identified as severely acutely malnourished.

𝗔𝗬𝗦𝗥𝗛 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 | The Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF), in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA Philippines ), convened a three-day workshop for partner LGUs in Samar and Southern Leyte. The Final Child, Early and Forced Marriage and Unions (CEFMU) Study Results Dissemination and Policy Development Workshop aimed to transform research findings on CEFMU into actionable local policies.

The workshop engaged legislative and executive representatives from ZFF Expanded Youth Leadership and Governance Program (EYLGP) partner LGUs, who play complementary roles in policy development and implementation. Technical resource persons from the University of San Carlos-Office of Population Studies Foundation, Inc. (USC-OPSFI) and the Philippine Legislators’ Committee on Population and Development (PLCPD) provided expert guidance throughout the event.
