Sinasabihan ni Screwtape si Wormwood, huwag mong pakikipagtalunan ang tao. Distract mo na lang siya. Bakit?

Kasi ang reason o pag-iisip ng tao ay maaaring gumabay sa kanya tungo sa katotohanan. Kapag nagsimula siyang magtanong nang malalim—
“Ano ba talaga ang totoo? Ano ang meaning ng buhay ko? May Diyos ba talaga? Tama ba ang paraan ng pamumuhay ko?”—
unti-unti, maaaring mapalapit siya sa Diyos.

Kaya gusto ni Screwtape na huwag seryosohin ng tao ang mga ganitong tanong.

At paano niya ito ginagawa?

Isang napakatalinong strategy: panatilihin mong busy at distracted ang tao sa mga ordinaryong bagay ng araw-araw na buhay.

Busy sa trabaho.
Busy sa cellphone.
Busy sa social media.
Busy sa pera, problema, entertainment, at kung anu-ano pa.

Hindi naman kailangang kumbinsihin si Wormwood na walang Diyos. Ang kailangan lang niya ay siguraduhing wala nang panahon ang tao para isipin ang Diyos.

People often lose their power when they think they have none.

However, Jesus told his followers, "You are the light of the world. Let your light shine for others" (Matthew 5:14-16).

No one is too young, too small, or too ordinary to make a difference. Every kind word, every honest choice, and every small act of courage is power in action.

So, we shouldn't wait for the perfect moment or a "big" person to fix everything. We only need to start where we are. If you see something wrong, speak up. Your voice matters. And if you see a need, lend a hand.

God has placed his light in you. When you stop saying "I can't" and start saying "I'll try," you reclaim your power—and that may change everything.

Before facing the demands of the day, Jesus makes space for the Father.

Mark 1:35, says: “In the morning, while it was still very dark, he got up, went out to a deserted place, and there he prayed.” Luke 5:16 also says something very similar: “But he (Jesus) would withdraw to deserted places and pray.”

Solitude was not an occasional emergency for Jesus; it was part of his rhythm of life.

May your day have a little more quiet than noise, a little more prayer than worry, and a little more awareness of God’s gentle presence in the midst of all your responsibilities. Amen!🙏🏻
