Most athletes get scouted. Kristina Knott picked up the phone herself.

The Filipino-American sprinter wasn't recruited by Philippine sports officials. In college, she personally reached out to a fellow Filipino-American athlete on the national athletics team to ask about joining, wanting a way to connect with her Filipino heritage.

She got the call up, made her international debut for the Philippines at the 2018 Asian Games, and went on to break Lydia de Vega's 33-year-old national records in both the 100m and 200m.

Chet Holmgren reportedly believes that he and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander could beat Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal in a two-on-two matchup, even in a seven-game series.

In China, a young girl attends her online classes while sitting beneath her parents’ street food stall.

Around her?

🍜 Noise
🚶 Constant movement
🔥 The chaos of daily life

But she still shows up.

No perfect desk. No quiet room. Just focus, discipline, and a dream for something better.

While others wait for the “right conditions”… she creates her own. ✨

Because sometimes, the biggest advantage isn’t resources…

it’s the mindset to keep going anyway.

And nothing is more powerful than a child who refuses to give up on learning. 💛

20 YEARS OF LONELINESS AND A $50 MILLION VERDICT: Serena Williams IS FIGHTING FOR HER OWN PAST THROUGH THE EYES OF Alex Eala! 🛡️🎾

"They’re trying to break the will of a 20-year-old girl for a few rating points? They’ve forgotten that the ‘Black Panther’ Serena Williams has never forgotten the scars the media once left on her."

The story behind the shocking alliance between Serena and Alex Eala

Many are asking: Why would Serena Williams—who has stepped away from the peak of professional competition—be willing to spend $50 million and mobilize an “unstoppable” legal team to defend Alex Eala against ABC?

The answer lies in Alex’s tears on the talk show The View. When Sunny Hostin and the producers allegedly set a “media trap” to pressure a young talent, Serena didn’t just see Alex—she saw herself from 20 years ago.

Now, as Alex Eala—Asia’s rising tennis hope—is turned into a target of prejudice and humiliating questions on American television, Serena Williams has made her stance clear:

“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”

“I think there’s a blinder on the Philippine basketball landscape because this country has been so good in basketball for so long that it becomes insular; it doesn’t look outside enough, and when it does look outside, it looks only at the US, and it’s a big mistake, because we can’t be the US. It’s simply impossible.”

“So our cultural development here as a basketball nation has revolved around really streetball which has dominated so much of the play in this country – and it is entertaining, and it is fun, and it will work inside the borders of the country.”
