We’re recycling at Backyard Barbecue Vol. 6 ♻️🌿

This April 17–19, Ecoexist PH is teaming up with Play It Forward to keep Belvedere Park green, especially during Backyard Barbecue. Spot our bins at all four corners of the park. We’re making it easy to recycle properly while you enjoy the food, music, and community.

Our team will be on-site to guide you, so let’s make space for sustainability together. 💚

See you this weekend!

Our Curbside Recycling is back this Sunday, Feb. 22! ♻️🌿

Don’t forget: This Sunday, the Curbside Recycling truck will be back at the OLBL Parking Lot and ready to collect all your clean and dry recyclables from 8:00 AM until the truck is filled (cutoff at 4:00 PM).

We are also very happy to share important updates as we continue our journey toward becoming a greener, zero-waste community:

✌️ Introducing the Re-Sako Program: To help reduce single-use plastic bags, you may now purchase a large green Sako from Merville Zero-Waste (MZW) for only ₱20. Use it to bring your sorted recyclables, and we will swap it with a clean one every month!

🫙 Used Cooking Oil Collection: We’ve partnered with RMC Oil + Ecosolutions! Please bring your used household cooking oil in an airtight container (like an old soda bottle or container with a tight lid).

Need Assistance? For bulk donations, seniors, or PWDs, please text 0917-792-0336.

Thank you for helping us stay a green, zero-waste parish. See you on Sunday! 💚

Last Friday was a significant milestone for Ecoexist PH. We are honored to have attended .earth’s “Sustainability for Founders” workshop as Fellows! 🎓✨

We spent the day at The Astbury with the Sustina team and a diverse group of attendees who all come from different fields, united by the same passion for sustainability. Hearing their insights and getting feedback on our work was a great reminder that we are part of something much bigger than all of us.

Some key reflections that stuck:
• “Learning lives in the “messy middle.” Throughout the day, we learned that progress really happens in between the plan and the ex*****on. Coming out of this, we appreciated the process of navigating challenges rather than waiting for a “perfect framework
• The value of “diskarte.” Innovation isn’t just a “buzzword” and as Filipinos, we have the perfect word to describe it. It’s about being creative and resourceful in how we achieve our goals. It’s the ability to find a way forward with what is available to us.
• Sustainability is about more than just the environment. To keep going, we must also sustain ourselves (in every sense of the word). At its heart, sustainability is about the art of coexisting: balancing our mission, our business, and our own well-being.

Swipe to see our photos from Feb. 13! Thank you to Sustina for the Fellowship and for the motivation to keep growing. Let’s get to work! 🌿💪

✌️Peace out to single-use trash bags!

Introducing the Re-Sako Program by Merville Zero-Waste (MZW).

🏷️Purchase a large green Sako from MZW and use this to drop-off your clean & dry recyclables during the Curbside Recycling events on the last Sunday of every month at OLBL.

♻️We’ll swap the sako with a clean one ready to use for another month *provided that it contains one category of recyclables per bag only*, such as but not limited to plastic, glass, metal/foil, paper, karton, and used beverage carton.

• One large green sako (106x106 cm) = P20

We’re offering this one-time payment method to encourage the practice of reusing.

✉️ Comment below how many pieces you want to order and we’ll message you directly for address and payment.

Let’s get sorting!

Sustainable practices don’t work because of rules alone. ♻️ They work when people understand what’s happening, why it matters, and how it fits into a real shoot day.

Ecoexist PH focuses on working with crews: finding ways to improve what we’re already used to, without getting in the way of the work. When everyone understands the “why,” that’s how better habits start.

When people hear “sustainable production,” they imagine something complicated. In reality, it can look like this.

Having a team on set to support better practices doesn’t have to be disruptive. It just means paying attention to how the set actually moves, and working with the crew, not against them.

That’s how we approached it on the set of , which opens in cinemas this Dec. 25 as part of the .

With , this is what sustainable productions can actually look like.

It’s about being more mindful and responsible with every production.

With , posibleng posible ito!

On busy film productions, waste builds up quickly, and over time, it starts to feel normal.

Multiply this across the number of productions happening in the Philippines, and the impact is no longer small.

Sustainability isn’t just a nice idea anymore. It’s part of being responsible on set and beyond.

Stay tuned to find out where these get brought for recycling.
