Our Story

Yumihiro Japan International Foundation, Inc. was established solely in uplifting the lives of the people who belong to the grass roots; encouraging them to become self-reliant, productive, responsible citizens and contributing members of the society. The foundation aims to assist families, children, youth and communities through education, health care and livelihood, provision of basic needs during calamities and developmental activities for personal growth.

The person behind this is Shachou Arleen Ramos Miyakawa, the founder. She is a Filipina who worked hard to reach where she is now, but still with a heart of compassion to less-fortunate people because she said “I too was once like them”

Shachou Arleen is the second to the youngest child of Mr. Lodencio Ramos and Anania Diansay Ramos both from Mindanao, they have six (6) children. She is married to Mr. Keita Miyakawa and blessed with three (3) children. From her speeches, at young age of ten (10), she became independent, left their place to work for other people. One time she looked up, she saw an airplane and uttered to herself “one day I will be there to see other places.” She dreamed of having a good life someday so that she can help her parents, siblings and the indigent ones.

This dream came into reality with the intervention of the Divine Providence. Shachou Arleen become successful in her business and pursue her long-time passion to help people.
