The Baling Festival is a vibrant annual celebration now in its 3rd year, held from March 23 to 25, 2026, with a core theme centered on Biodiversity Awareness, Lifesaving Initiatives for Natural Resources, and Good Sportsmanship. Good day marine biologist, thank you participants for participating in our marine biology department day❤️🎉

📅 DAY 0 (MARCH 23)
The festival kicked off bright and early! Teams started with attendance and CC-UP at the Training Center, followed by an insightful Environmental Symposium. After lunch, friendly brain battles took center stage with a Quiz Bowl, Spelling Bee, and creative Poster Making contest – all highlighting our commitment to protecting nature.

💦 DAY 1 (MARCH 24)
Water and land challenges energized everyone! Morning activities included Swim Flag, Hold Breathe, and Paddle drills. The afternoon brought non-stop fun with "Bring Me," Castle Sand, Amazing Race, and group sports like Beach Volleyball and Basketball – where teamwork truly shone.

🎉 DAY 2 (MARCH 25)
The excitement peaked with classic games: Slipper Game, Chair Relay, Bottle Relay, and Dodge Ball. Afternoon showdowns featured Tug of War, Beach Volleyball, Futsa, and Shabug. The day wrapped with a grand Awarding Ceremony on stage, followed by a Victory Party at the Basketball Court to celebrate all participants!

📢 DIVE INTO THE FUN & PURPOSE! 🐠

The BALING Festival 2026 (Year 3) is here – our Marine Biology Department’s 3-day celebration centered on Biodiversity Awareness, Lifesaving Initiatives for Natural Resources, and Good Sportsmanship!

From March 23-25, we’re packing in environmental symposiums, quiz bowls, spelling bees, water sports, team games, and more – all while championing our marine ecosystems. Three teams are ready to compete, with everyone dressing to represent their unit colors (in line with the Student Handbook!).

Let’s rally for our oceans, play with heart, and make this festival one for the books! 🌊💙

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made our Community Outreach Extension Activity (Mangrove Planting) a success. This meaningful activity would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – Marine Science Investigation Group – Northern Mindanao (MSIGRU-NM), whose guidance and commitment to coastal protection truly inspired us.
We also sincerely thank the LGU of Barangay Tabo-o officials for their warm support and cooperation, as well as Petron Jimenez for their assistance and generosity. Your help greatly contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of this activity.
Lastly, we thank all the students, officers, and volunteers who actively participated and gave their time and effort for the environment. This activity reminded us of our shared responsibility to protect and care for our coastal ecosystems.
Once again, thank you very much. Together, we continue to serve the community and protect our environment.
