The Lakas Angkan Youth Fellowship (LAYF) gathered once again last September 16 for our weekly Kwentuhan—a time to connect, share stories, listen to one another, and enjoy meaningful fellowship. 🤍

Through every conversation and shared moment, we continue to build stronger friendships, grow in faith, and create memories together.

𝟬𝟵.𝟬𝟵 | 𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗙 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗽𝘀 💚

This September, as we observe 𝘚𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩, we’re reminded of the importance of 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽, 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗱.

Today, we used our 𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 as an opportunity to share God’s love and Word, encourage one another, and simply ask, “𝙆𝙪𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖 𝙠𝙖?” 🫶

From an in-person kamustahan to an online one, these may seem like simple moments. But sometimes, 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. 🌱

“𝑾𝙃𝙊 𝘼𝙈 𝙄, 𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙇𝙇𝙔?”

Is your identity based on your achievements?
Your possessions?
Or your reputation?

Tonight, LAYF went a little deeper.

For the 3rd Series of our Spiritual Formation Series, Kuya Marvin led us through “How Do I See Myself?”—a session that challenged us to look beyond the things that the world often uses to define who we are.

We often say,
“𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐼’𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑐𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑠ℎ𝑒𝑑.”
“𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐼 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒.”
“𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑚𝑒.”

But what happens when the achievements fade, the possessions are gone, or people’s opinions change?

Who are we then?

Tonight reminded us that our identity is deeper than our résumé, our material things, or our reputation. And sometimes, the most important question isn’t just “How do I see myself?” but…

“𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙢𝙚?”

We’re also super grateful for the new faces who joined us tonight! Some of them discovered LAYF just yesterday during the Club Fair at the DNSC Main Campus Gymnasium.

From a simple encounter at the Club Fair to joining us in tonight’s session—welcome to LAYF!

Here’s to more conversations, more questions, more growth, and most importantly, growing closer to God together.

The LAKAS ANGKAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP (LAYF) is pleased to introduce our newly elected officers for the 2026–2027 term! 🤍

Together with the organization adviser, the first virtual meeting of the outgoing and incoming 𝙇𝘼𝙔𝙁-𝘿𝙉𝙎𝘾 officers for AY 2026–2027 was successfully conducted.

The meeting focused on the introduction of the officers, as well as organizational matters and initial planning for the upcoming academic year. With unity, commitment, and guidance, the meeting was successfully concluded by the grace of God.

May this gathering mark the beginning of a fruitful and meaningful year of service for 𝙇𝘼𝙔𝙁 @ 𝘿𝙉𝙎𝘾.

TONIGHT’S ONLINE SESSION | AUG. 12, 2026 ☕💙

Tonight marked the first online session of LAYF for A.Y. 2026–2027—a meaningful evening of connection, reflection, and spiritual growth.

With Kuya Marvin Cainglet as our speaker, and through the initiative of our LAYF Adviser, Ma’am Resty Perote, we were blessed with a timely and meaningful discussion centered on knowing God the Father.

How do we truly know God as our Father? How do we see and understand Him in our daily lives?

Through tonight’s session, we were reminded that Jesus reveals the heart and character of the Father. In the love, compassion, grace, and care that we see in Jesus, we catch a glimpse of who our Heavenly Father is. The way Jesus welcomes, loves, forgives, and cares for people points us toward the loving heart of God.

Tonight was more than just an online gathering—it was a reminder that we have a Father who desires to be known, trusted, and followed. 🤍

Grateful for the wisdom shared, the conversations made, and the blessings received through God’s Word.

To God be all the glory! 🙏✨
