Thank you to everyone who watched, commented, and shared our film. Pagbalik sa Lawod was made to raise awareness and amplify stories too often unheard. At its core is a hard truth, no one deserves exploitation. Let’s stay vigilant and protect our communities especially our fisherfolk.

The official entry of SINE COMM Society to the 2nd DavNor Short Film Festival. Among all the entries, 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤 𝐬𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐨𝐝 is the only film that talks about fisherfolk trafficking an issue often overlooked that keeps on making the said sector vulnerable.

According to International Labor Organization, thousands of Filipino fisherfolk continue to face illegal recruitment and exploitation every year.
