Under Republic Act No. 2956, signed into law in 2004, declared August 21st of every year as “Ninoy Aquino Day,” a national non-working holiday, to commemorate the death anniversary of former Senator Benigno ‘Ninoy’ S. Aquino Jr.

To provide for a longer weekend promoting domestic tourism, the celebration of Ninoy Aquino Day has moved from 21 August (Wednesday) to 23 August (Friday), provided that the historical significance of Ninoy Aquino Day is maintained.

The Museo Panabo and the City of Panabo join this remarkable history of Senator Benigno ‘Ninoy’ S. Aquino Jr.

The National Flag Day in the Philippines is celebrated on May 28 in commemoration of the first use of the Philippine Flag after the victory in the Battle of Alapan in 1898 where the Filipino revolutionaries led by Emilio Aguinaldo defeated the Spanish troops. Half a month later, on June 12, 1898, the same flag was raised by Emilio Aguinaldo at his residence in Kawit, Cavite following the proclamation of independence from Spain.

The period from May 28 to June 12 of every year is declared as National Flag Days where all offices, agencies and instrumentalities of the government, business establishments, institutions of learning, private buildings and homes are enjoined to display the National Flag. Implementing Rules and Regulations on the use of the Philippine National Flag are provided on Republic Act 8491 otherwise known as the “Code of the National Flag, Anthem, Motto, Coat-of-Arms, and Other Heraldic Items and Devices of the Philippines”.

Opisyal nang gi-abrihan sa publiko ang Art Exhibit nga gimugna sa Guhit Kamay Young Artist of Panabo City (GKYAPC) adtong Pebrero 29, 2024 kutob Marso 8, 2024 sa Museo Panabo, Parks and Plaza. Subay kini sa ilahang ika-napulo nga tuig sa art exhibition nga adunay temang, "Kahayag, Kabuntagon, Kadalag-an: Ang Sining sa Pag-uswag" aron sa pagsaulog sa 𝟯𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵'𝘀 "𝗔𝗻𝗶 𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻”

Sa pag-abri sa Guhit Kamay Art Exhibit, dako kayo ang kahigayonan nga makita ang mga kahayag sa kultura ug talento sa sining sa Panabo City. Ang obra nga gipakita sa exhibit siguradong molingaw ug molambigit sa mga katawhan. Kini usa ka higayon nga makapaambit ug inspirasyon sa mga bisita sa kahayag sa mga local nga alagad sa sining.

Today we commemorated the 126th Anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal Martyrdom in front of his monument at Panabo City Parks and Plaza with this year's theme: "Rizal: Alaalang Iningatan, Yaman ngayon ng Bayan".

The City Mayor Hon. Jose E. Relampagos leaded the said commemoration together with the City Vice Mayor with the member of the City Council, City Government Department Heads, the Heads of National Agencies, Community leaders and Panaboans.
