Pres. Vince Marco D. Combate, President of the 4-H Club in Eastern Visayas Regional Federation, guested on Bombo Radyo Tacloban to discuss the organization’s mission and initiatives in promoting youth engagement in agriculture, leadership development, and community service.

During the interview, Pres. Vince highlighted the need to encourage more young people to engage in agriculture to help address the aging farmer population and ensure food security and sustainability. He also shared the federation’s roadmap, which includes leadership mentoring, capacity-building programs, and efforts to nurture the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Among the federation’s priority initiatives are the establishment of partnerships with the Department of Education through an “Adopt-a-School” project, the organization of 4-H Clubs in agricultural schools, and assistance to youth interested in accessing programs such as the Young Farmers Challenge. He likewise encouraged participation in leadership trainings, forums, and congresses, like the recently concluded 4-H Regional Info Caravan cm Congress held in Maasin City, Southern Leyte last May 29-31, while acknowledging the support of partners and sponsors, including STIHL Philippines.

The 4-H Club in Eastern Visayas Regional Federation thanks **Bombo Radyo Tacloban** for providing a platform to share its advocacy and opportunities for the youth.

Interested youth aged 10 to 30 years old may join or organize a 4-H Club with at least 15 members in their locality. Those who wish to learn more or request an orientation may contact the 4-H Club in Eastern Visayas Regional Federation.

Alangalang, Leyte has been officially selected as the host of the 2027 4-H Regional Camp, following the successful conduct of the 4-H Regional Info Caravan cm Congress 2026 in Maasin City, Southern Leyte. 🍀

In a symbolic turnover ceremony, Southern Leyte formally handed over the hosting responsibilities for the 2027 4-H Regional Camp to the Municipality of Alangalang, Leyte. The transition highlighted the continuity of the 4-H program's commitment to youth leadership, agricultural development, and community engagement across Eastern Visayas. 🌱✨
