𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗦

𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Aspiring farmers in Tacloban City now have the opportunity to gain valuable agricultural skills as the Regional Training Center – Tacloban opens enrollment for its Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).

Under the scholarship program, 25 slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis for the Organic Agriculture Production (OAP) NC II qualification.

Successful applicants will receive free training, free competency assessment, and a training support fund (allowance) to help them complete the program.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a high school or college graduate, currently unemployed, and not enrolled in any education or training program.

Interested applicants are encouraged to prepare the following requirements:
✅️ long brown envelope
✅️ photocopy of their PSA/NSO birth certificate or marriage certificate (if married)
✅️ school document (Form 137, Form 138, Transcript of Records, or Diploma)
✅️ two passport-sized ID photos, and four 1×1 ID photos with a white background, nametag, and collared shirt.

The 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟰-𝗛 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗻, 𝗟𝗲𝘆𝘁𝗲 was successfully conducted on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, marking another significant step in strengthening youth leadership and community involvement.

The orientation was facilitated by 4-H Club Eastern Visayas Federation Treasurer and 4-H Club of Tacloban City Federation President, Chester Leonel C. Quiza, together with the dedicated officers of the 4-H Club of Tacloban City Federation: Secretary John Rey E. Dela Rosa, Auditor Delson Cerna, Public Information Officer Angelica Grace Jakil, LPT, Business Manager Mill Sabido, and 4-H Club of Tacloban City Coordinator Jeannette C. Gonzales. Through interactive discussions, the participants were introduced to the vision, mission, objectives, and core values of the 4-H Club, emphasizing the importance of leadership, volunteerism, community service, and active youth participation.

This meaningful activity was organized by 4-H Club Municipal Coordinator of Capoocan, Leyte, Imelda Arboso, with the invaluable support of the 4-H Club in Eastern Visayas, led by Federation President and 4-H Club National Treasurer Vince Marco Combate, RAgr and the SK Council of Barangay Pinamopoan headed by Hon. Arvic Jhon Dapon. Through their collaborative efforts and unwavering dedication to advancing the 4-H movement, this initiative was successfully brought to the youth of Barangay Pinamopoan, whose commitment continues to inspire the growth and development of 4-H youth in the municipality.

Congratulations to the newly elected officers of the 𝟰-𝗛 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗮𝗻! 🌱 𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗣𝗧-𝗔-𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗞𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗦 𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗔𝗧 𝗣𝗨𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗢 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟

Through the interest and initiative of Puerto Bello National High School, a 4-H Club Orientation and Information Drive was successfully conducted on June 19, 2026, marking the official launch of the 4-H Club in Eastern Visayas – Leyte Province Federation's Adopt-a-School Initiative.

The activity was personally facilitated by Leyte Province Federation President Vince Marco Combate, who introduced the 4-H movement and its opportunities for youth development through leadership, agriculture, citizenship, and community service. Sixteen (16) Junior 4-Hers were officially welcomed into the organization and took their first step in becoming part of the growing 4-H family.

During the program, the newly elected officers of the Puerto Bello National High School 4-H Club were formally inducted into office, led by their President, Rhiann Dave T. Singson, a Grade 12 student. Engr. Ramel R. Coletana, LPT, was likewise recognized as the club's adviser who will guide and mentor the young members in their future activities and projects.

The orientation was conducted in the presence of Mr. Federico G. Labador, Jr., RAgr., Municipal Agriculture Office Coordinator for the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP), and Sir Elpedio P. Mabiya, Head Teacher III of Puerto Bello National High School, whose support helped make the activity possible.

As part of the initiative, vegetable seeds were distributed to the newly inducted 4-Hers and school personnel to support the school's Gulayan sa Paaralan Program and encourage household food production through home gardening.

The 4-H Club in Eastern Visayas looks forward to nurturing a new generation of young agricultural leaders in Puerto Bello and strengthening youth participation in community development through the spirit of "Learn by Doing."
