Last 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 21, 2025, the 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 spent a beautiful Sunday at 𝐒𝐎𝐒 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐧, bonding through GDA activities and spreading joy through gift-giving. It was a meaningful opportunity to serve and engage with the children through purposeful activities. More than an outreach, it was a day of shared smiles and genuine connection. 🫂💝

As the activities came to an end, we were reminded that 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦. It was truly a fulfilling experience that reinforced our commitment to community engagement and compassionate service. ✨💚

In celebration of Mental Health Month, St. Scholastica’s College Tacloban held a meaningful 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧 led by Ma’am 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗟. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲, RPm, who shared valuable insights on understanding and caring for one’s mental well-being. 💚

The seminar reminded every Scholastican that 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙥𝙝𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 — it affects how we think, feel, and act in our daily lives. Ma’am Genwin emphasized that struggling with our mental well-being is never something to be ashamed of, and 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨. 🫂

The event also featured a mini-activity conducted by the SSCTI Psychological Society, which encouraged Scholasticans to express their emotions and facial expressions through different real-life scenarios that reflect our daily experiences as students and as individuals. (งᵔᗜᵔ)ว=

It was a creative and meaningful way to remind everyone that emotions — whether joy, stress, sadness, or excitement — are all valid and part of being human.

In a world where it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, this seminar served as a beautiful reminder that 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏, 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔. 💚🌿

The long wait is finally over — we’re excited to officially introduce the new members of the Peer Support Circle!💚

After a careful and meaningful selection process with our officers, we’ve chosen a group of compassionate, dedicated, and open-hearted individuals who are ready to support and make a difference in our student community.

To our newest members: welcome to the PSC family! We’re so happy to have you with us. Together, let’s keep building a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where everyone feels heard, valued, and understood. Here’s to new beginnings, shared growth, and a circle that stands strong, hand in hand. 🤝✨

To those who weren’t accepted this time, please don’t be discouraged. The door is always open, and you’re more than welcome to try again. Every step is a chance to grow, and your time will come — so keep going! Thank you so much to everyone who participated. Better luck next time!💚🫂

💚 Join us in celebrating 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 as we advocate for mental health awareness. 🌈

As future pharmacists, we believe that everyone should give their mental health just as much importance as their physical well-being. Healing goes beyond just taking medicine, so don't be afraid to reach out 🤝, speak up 📢, and express 💬 what you're feeling.

Remember that "𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺," 🌟 what matters most is that we keep moving forward. We'll be more than happy to be there with you every step of the way.

The SSCTI Peer Support Circle in collaboration with the SSCTI Psychological Society, is offering free online and on-site Psychological First Aid to those affected by the recent earthquake and fire. This is open to all SSCTI students until October 17, 2025. We encourage everyone to schedule an appointment with them if you feel stressed, overwhelmed, or just need someone to talk to.
