𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞-𝐍𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐨, 𝐑𝐏𝐡, 𝐏𝐡𝐃, corresponding author and research adviser along with 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐂. 𝐋𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐳, 𝐑𝐏𝐡, 𝐌𝐒𝐏𝐡, their research instructor.

Their study was able to provide the first biological evidence of aminophylline's antidepressant effects. In a dose-dependent manner, aminophylline was able to reduce depressive-like behavior using a chronic restraint stress (CRS) model in male mice. Further analysis suggests that aminophylline is able to affect mechanisms involved in key pathways related to depression.

Through their exceptional performance and unwavering dedication to scientific knowledge advancing pharmaceutical research, this remarkable milestone is a true testament to the institution's commitment to forming competent young individuals.

On March 26, 2026, the 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐢 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 held its 12𝙩𝙝 𝙀𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. Among the 107 speakers across the various fields of medicine, there were only two international speakers, one from Myanmar and the other from the Philippines, Ms. Florence Ingred D. Samante.

𝐌𝐬. 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐃. 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞, 𝐑𝐏𝐡 participated in the Pharmacy category and presented their undergraduate study entitled "𝙋𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙝𝙮𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩" and achieved 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 in the 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲.
