EMPOWERING YOUNG MINDS, ONE PAGE AT A TIME 📚📚📚
For three meaningful and inspiring days, the May’da Free Reading Program successfully reached the students of Macalpi-ay National High School in Pastrana, Leyte through the collective efforts of passionate volunteers, generous donors, and dedicated partners.
In partnership with Halika Books , FREQit Solutions, and Kreme 23, the program aimed to strengthen literacy, cultivate a love for reading, and provide learning opportunities to students who need them the most. This initiative goes beyond simply distributing booksit seeks to open doors to knowledge, build confidence, improve comprehension skills, and inspire young people to dream bigger through the power of reading.
At a time when many Senior High School students continue to face academic challenges brought about by learning gaps and limited access to educational resources, programs like this become even more significant. By focusing on struggling learners, we hope to help them regain confidence in their abilities, improve their reading proficiency, and equip them with skills that will serve as a foundation for their future education, careers, and lives.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, donors, and partners whose generosity made this activity possible. Special thanks to the administration, faculty, and staff of Macalpiay National High School for warmly welcoming the program. We are especially grateful to Ma’am Kristia Ann A. Atenta and School Principal II Nicolas V. Cabidog for their unwavering support, cooperation, and commitment to the success of this initiative.
This program is a reminder that transforming lives does not always require grand gestures. Sometimes, all it takes is a book, a willing heart, and a community that believes every child deserves the opportunity to learn.
As we continue our mission of bringing books and literacy programs to underserved communities, we invite more individuals, organizations, and advocates of education to join us. Your donations, whether books, educational materials, or financial support, can help us reach more schools and empower more young learners across the country.
Together, let us build a future where every child has access to the gift of reading and the opportunity to succeed.
