The University of the Philippines Manila School of Health Sciences Palo Campus proudly welcomed its fresh set of student leaders on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, during the Oath-Taking Ceremony at the Dr. Herrera Building of the UPM SHS Main Campus in Palo.

Held alongside the vibrant celebration of 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, the event was filled with energy and excitement as newly elected classroom officers and student organization recruits officially took their oaths. The evening showcased not just the spirit of leadership but also the shared commitment to service, growth, and camaraderie within the campus community.

With their pledges made, our newest leaders are ready to uplift student voices, build meaningful initiatives, and carry forward the legacy of excellence at UPM SHS Palo Campus.

We extend our warmest congratulations to the newly elected Student Council for Academic Year 2025-2026. Their term begins after the oath-taking ceremony. We wish them the greatest success in representing the student body.

We also commend the student body for their cooperation throughout the election process, particularly during the Miting de Avance and Batch Consensus Building, which contributed significantly to the success of the electoral board's activities.

𝗨𝗣𝗠-𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗼 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁, 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱.

On July 10, 2025, a consensus-building meeting was convened for the purpose of determining the candidates to be supported by Batch Representatives in the upcoming student elections. Given the parliamentary nature of the election process at our institution, where only designated Batch Representatives possess voting rights, this meeting involved representatives and presidents from the Diploma in Midwifery (DM), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programs. The objective was to facilitate inclusive decision-making and ensure that the preferences of the student body were duly considered. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the election, originally scheduled for July 11, 2025, has been rescheduled for July 16, 2025.

Voting will be conducted via Qualtrics and will require you to log in using your UP Mail. Here is the step-by-step guide for easier access.

Voting will run from July 11 to 16, 2025.

The UP Manila SHS Main Campus - College Electoral Board held a successful Miting de Avance (MDA) for the 2025 student council elections on July 8th via Zoom. Despite some internet connection issues, candidates and students actively participated. The event featured candidate introductions and an open forum where students raised concerns about important issues like the Return Service Agreement, student leadership, budget cuts, school events, and student participation. The Miting de Avance left a lasting impression, igniting a passionate discourse that will undoubtedly shape the upcoming student council elections.
