Tzu Chi Leyte's 4th Humanity Class: Learning the Beauty of Etiquette
On November 15, 2025, Tzu Chi Palo, Leyte, hosted another day of mission towards values formation with its 4th Humanity Class focused on Tzu Chi Etiquette.
Scholars, volunteers, and villagers greeted the day with genuine gratitude and happiness, with the scholars starting the morning by getting to "groove" before the event began.
Achi Roxanne delivered warm remarks, appreciating the scholars' good grades and gently reminding them of their responsibilities.
The atmosphere was set by emcees Mark Kent and Rochelle, who led a "Kamustahan" session where everyone shared what they were grateful for that week.
Achi Hadassa shared thoughtful words on the Jing Si Aphorism of the day: "Etiquette is the dignity of the inner mind; it inspires respect from others," beautifully demonstrating this teaching through her obedience and dedication as a scholar.
Following this, Auntie Alice, a volunteer, shared a valuable message through the Master Tells Story of Sakra and the Asura.
The meticulous discussion of Tzu Chi Etiquette was then led by Leyte volunteers, headed by Tzu Chi Commissioner Randy Militante, who carefully demonstrated the heart of Tzu Chi etiquette in daily life. They emphasized that Tzu Chi Etiquette—where the "beauty of the group comes from the refinement of its individuals" is about practicing GRATITUDE, RESPECT, and LOVE towards all PEOPLE, PLACE, and MATTER.
Scholars gained wisdom from the detailed instruction on proper etiquette for Dressing, Sitting, Eating, Walking, and basic Buddhist conduct.
