Earlier today, June 27, 2026, the Hombres Hermosos, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Palapag headed by Hon. Mayor Florence "Fawa" Batula through the Gender and Development Office led by GAD Focal Person Maโam Sol Drio, spearheaded an activity called 'Back to School with Pride v2.0', a school supplies distribution at Canonghan Elementary School as part of Pride Month 2026 celebrations.
The activity was graced by Mayor Fawa Batula, Palapag MPS Chief of Police PCPT Baltazar Cepeda, representatives from the 78th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army, Brgy. Captains and Officials of Brgy. Osmeรฑa and Bagacay, and other steadfast advocates of gender inclusivity.
This activity aims to make pupils and their families feel less worry about school needs, more focus in class, and the feeling that the community has their back.
This is also a powerful reminder that Pride means service. Seeing LGBTQIA+ leaders supported by government and uniformed personnel affirms identity, fights stigma, and shows every q***r child in Palapag that they have a place and a future.
This is Pride in action.
