It summarily revokes all existing sectoral accreditations Sectoral accreditation is not a formalityโit is earned through real sacrifice. Community organizations invested scarce resources, time, and collective effort to comply with complex legal and bureaucratic requirements, conducting assemblies, validations, and grassroots mobilization despite limited means. They complied because they trusted the system.

It sends a clear and dangerous message that compliance is meaningless and that the voices of the marginalized can be erased at will. This undermines confidence in public institutions and weakens democratic participation. These organizations spent over a year and resources complying with existing laws. Canceling their status retroactively violates due process, disregards legitimate reliance on the law, and will cause grave injustice ahead of the 2026 elections. This directly contradicts the spirit of the Bangsamoro Organic Law, which promised empowermentโnot exclusion.
