As the academic year comes to a close, the JUNIOR SOCIAL WORKERS' ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES extends its appreciation to the outgoing officers of A.Y. 2025–2026 for their service, commitment, and contribution to the organization throughout their term.

Student leadership carries responsibilities that are not always visible to others. Behind every activity, coordination, meeting, and decision were officers who gave their time and effort while also managing academic requirements, personal responsibilities, and the everyday challenges that come with student life. The work was not always easy, and there were moments that required patience, understanding, and perseverance.

Despite these challenges, this year’s officers continued to fulfill their roles and contribute to the organization in ways that helped maintain its activities, support its members, and uphold its purpose as a student organization. Their leadership may have looked different in many ways, but each contribution became part of the organization’s journey throughout the academic year.

As they conclude their term, we recognize not only the responsibilities they carried, but also the willingness behind their service. They became individuals who chose to give part of their time, energy, and effort for the welfare of the organization and its members.

As one set of officers concludes its term, another now prepares to continue the responsibilities of the organization. May the next officers carry the same willingness to serve, learn, and grow through the experiences that come with leadership.

Today, we honor the journey of our Batch 2026 graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Social Work — a journey shaped by quiet sacrifices, long days, uncertain moments, and the courage to keep going despite them all.

Behind every toga is a story of service, resilience, and compassion nurtured through years of learning not only inside the classroom, but also through communities, people, and lived realities. More than earning a degree, you chose a path that calls for empathy, patience, and genuine heart.

No more rushing deadlines, fieldwork anxieties, case presentations, process recordings, community visits, and long nights spent trying to balance academic demands with personal battles no one else fully sees. What once felt endless has now become part of the journey that led you here.

Social Work was never an easy path. It asked you to understand people beyond what is seen, to remain compassionate amid difficult realities, and to continue showing up even when the work became emotionally heavy. Yet despite everything, you stayed.

And now, here you are — carrying not only a degree, but also the experiences, values, and humanity that this profession continues to shape within you.

On April 29, 2026, the Junior Social Work Association of the Philippines (JSWAP) Officers held a tribute in honor of the graduating 4th year Social Work students, recognizing their dedication and journey toward becoming future Registered Social Workers.

As a symbol of support and encouragement, simple yet purposeful tokens—review materials, envelopes, and pencils—were given to accompany them in their next step toward the licensure examination and professional practice.

More than anything, it was our way of saying: we see your hard work, and we believe in you.

To our graduating students, carry with you everything you’ve learned—not only from books, but also from the people and communities you have encountered along the way. As you move forward, may you continue to hold on to the purpose that brought you here.

IN PHOTOS: Final Presentation of BSSW Interns of SCC for Field Instruction 102: Community Organizing (BATCH 2)

In just four months, Bachelor of Science in Social Work interns of Saint Columban College assigned in Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur successfully completed the community organizing process under Field Instruction 102, marking the culmination of their fieldwork and community immersion.

During the final presentation, the interns shared the processes they undertook, the activities they implemented, and the experiences and insights they gained from working closely with the community.

The event was attended by Social Work Program head Mrs. Remy Richie Jadman-Ferrater, along with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Tukuran, represented by Mr. Jose Cirilo Mugar as their agency supervisor. The presentation marked a significant milestone for the interns as they concluded their community organizing work in the municipality.
