𝐙𝐃𝐒𝐅𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐈 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — The 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. (ZDSFAWAI), in partnership with the DOLE Zamboanga del Sur Field Office, conducted its Meeting Cum Learning Session on September 3, 2026, focusing on Administrative Order No. 233, Series of 2026, “Revised and Updated Family Welfare Program Checklist of Priorities.”

The activity provided an opportunity for the officers and members to deepen their understanding of the updated Family Welfare Program (FWP) priorities and discuss ways to further strengthen its implementation, particularly in private establishments and workplaces.

The association also warmly welcomed the newly designated DOLE Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Director, 𝘼𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝘽. 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙟𝙖𝙧, and expressed its sincere appreciation for her guidance, direction, and full support for the association and its continuing advocacies.

As a meaningful gesture of welcome, ZDSFAWAI officers presented the association’s SEC Certificate of Registration. This milestone reflects the collective efforts and commitment of the officers in strengthening the organization and advancing its advocacies.

The association likewise expressed its appreciation to the new DOLE leadership under Secretary 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨 for the issuance of Administrative Order No. 233, which further provides guidance in strengthening the implementation of FWP initiatives.

The session also highlighted the association’s upcoming plans and activities, including its proposed Inter Establishment Sportsfest, which aims to promote camaraderie, wellness, teamwork, and stronger engagement among members.

Led by ZDSFAWAI President Dr. Mary Jane B. Omandam, ZDSFAWAI extends its heartfelt gratitude to all its members for their active participation, cooperation, and meaningful engagement in the activity.

Together, we continue to strengthen our commitment to family welfare and promote family-friendly workplaces in Zamboanga del Sur.

On June 12, 2026, during the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (𝗖𝗟𝗣𝗘𝗣) 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 held at the Municipal Evacuation Center, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur, in celebration of the 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝘼𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧 2026 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 128𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙮, the Association once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community service and social responsibility.

Headed by ZDSFWAI President, Dr. Mary Jane B. Omandam, RGC, the Association actively participated in the activity by providing prizes, food items, grocery goods, school supplies, and other support for the beneficiaries. These contributions were made possible through the generosity and cooperation of the Association’s supportive member-companies and partners, including Saint Columban College, ZMS Construction and Development Corporation, Puting Manok Corporation, RTMG Ogis Corporation, Gaisano Capital Pagadian, Springland Resort, M Lhuillier Financial Services, Inc. and other valued members of ZDSFWAI.

The Zamboanga del Sur Family Welfare Association, Inc. joins the nation in commemorating the 128th Anniversary of Philippine Independence.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025, June 12, 2026 (Friday) is declared a 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐑 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 throughout the country.

In accordance with the Workers’ Statutory Monetary Benefits Handbook of 2024, the following pay rules shall apply:

✅ 𝐈𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤:
The employee shall be entitled to 100% of his/her daily wage, subject to the conditions prescribed by law.
📌 Formula: Basic Wage × 100%

✅ 𝐈𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲:
The employee shall be paid 200% of the daily wage for the first eight (8) hours of work.
📌 Formula: Basic Wage × 200%
