4-H Club Pagadian joined the International Coastal Clean-up with the theme “Clean Seas Against the Climate Crisis. The ICC aims to engage people specially the youth to remove trash and debris from water bodies and change behavior that causes pollution and to raise awareness in keeping the water bodies clean.

A successful Training & Workshop on urban gardening and food processing, with a focus on soya-milk production, was recently held at The Pond, Barangay Dumago, Pagadian city and organized by Mr. Jay-ar Panong, the 4H-Club President of Barangay Tuburan and with the presence of our City Agriculturist Engr. Dondon Rodrigo, City Agriculture Coordinator Ma'am Rowena Soriano, 4-H Club Pagadian Coach Ma'am Jessa Anggot, 4-H Club Pagadian Federation Officers headed by the President Mr. Jayvon S. Viray, Our Speaker and Lecturer, Mr. John Arries C. Lim.

This program was created to give participants hands-on experience in sustainable farming and food processing, encouraging self-sufficiency and wholesome living in our neighborhood. Participants are improving not just their own well-being but also the resilience and sustainability of our local food systems by learning how to grow their own produce and turn it into wholesome products like soya milk. In the future, we hope to keep up these initiatives and reach out to even more community members.

A big thanks to our City Mayor of Pagadian, 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑺𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒚 𝑪𝒐 and to our 1st City Councilor, 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑺𝒂𝒎 𝑻𝒚𝒓𝒂 𝑭. 𝑪𝒐 for their unwavering love and support of this program to our Future Young Farmers of Pagadian City.

Mr. Lance Samuel F. Co, Chief Executive Officer of LSC Corp., honored the event with his insightful talk on the responsibilities that come with business ownership. He emphasized the privilege of being able to start a business and the significant role it plays in job creation, stating, “Doing business is not a right but a privilege. I want to be in business to give jobs to people.”

His words highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship, not just for personal gain but as a means to contribute positively to society by providing employment opportunities
