Today, we were invited to share insights on stewarding for our coastal communities and youth volunteerism.
Prof. Jimmy Salamida, from SLSU Bontoc campus raised awareness on the richness of the Philippine particularly So. Leyte's marine ecosystems and how the youth can help protect and revitalize it.
It was a delight to have one of our youth volunteers, Bryle Basco from Manhilo National Highschool share noteworthy environmental initiatives he spearheaded in his school, community and in Maasin city.
Thank you Sir Jimmy and Bryle for this enriching experience and for echoing our call for richer youth involvement in caring for our planet.
Thank Sir Gemar Mori for continued partnership for 3 years now for NSTP student events in the College of Maasin.
What a great way to culminate the the Environmental Awareness Month and Global Climate Change Consciousness Week!!

🪸Every signature is a powerful act of hope, courage, and commitment. 💚

By signing, you’re doing more than adding your name—you’re raising a bold voice for climate justice! 🐋 Together, we’re supporting this nationwide Greenpeace Philippines campaign to hold fossil fuel giants accountable and urging Congress and President Bongbong Marcos, Jr. to prioritize the passage of Climate Accountability (CLIMA) House Bill 9609.

- Standing with communities as they take fossil fuel companies to court, shifting the fight against climate change.
- Urging swift action on the CLIMA Bill to make carbon majors accountable for their impact on our world.

As of Oct. 24, 2024, 8:00 AM, we have already raised more than Php 7.3 Million for our kababayans affected by in Naga City.

Habang nananalasa ang Bagyong sa Luzon, ramdam ang bigat ng kawalan ng katarungan—dahil ang mga katulad na kalamidad ay hindi lamang mas magiging madalas, kundi mas malala pa sa mga susunod na taon. Ito ang presyo na binabayaran ng mga komunidad na walang malay, habang patuloy na pinapakinabangan ng malalaking fossil fuel companies ang ating kalikasan.

Nakakasakit ng loob makita ang mga tahanan, buhay, at pangarap na nasisira ng mga bagyong tulad nito, lalo na't alam natin na may mga makapangyarihang tao at korporasyon na kailangang managot. Kailangan nating ipaglaban ang mga komunidad na nasa harap ng krisis na ito.

Ang panawagan para sa pagkakapantay-pantay at pananagutan ay ngayon na—at dito tayo magsisimula. Sumali sa Courage for Climate signature drive, isang makapangyarihang hakbang ng mga mamamayang Pilipino para hikayatin ang ating Kongreso at si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na ipasa ang Climate Accountability (CLIMA) Bill. Huwag natin hayaang mabalewala ang mga boses ng mga direktang naaapektuhan.

Ang aksyon mo ay may halaga. Sama-sama, kaya nating lumikha ng tunog na maririnig sa buong mundo—para sa katarungan, pananagutan, at isang mas ligtas at makatarungang kinabukasan para sa bawat Pilipino. 🌏💚
