Debate season has begun! On September 25, 2025, the Misamis University Political Science Society held its First Monthly Debate for A.Y. 2025–2026. ⚖️

An exciting and lively debate took place between:
Government side composing of 4th-year students, joined by a 3rd-year student VS. 4th-year students in the Opposition side.

The topic, "Democracy is being practiced to its fullest potential in the Philippines"

With relatively clear arguments supporting each side, such determination was put into the case. At the end of the program, winners were declared by the Government side for having strongly represented their case.

To close the program, an award was presented to the following outstanding participants:

Best Debater: Danielle Taghoy

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲
gathered on September 22, 2025, for a short lecture about the Asian Parliamentary Debate, presented by the MUPSS Vice President Danielle Taghoy, in preparation for the upcoming debate workshop, and followed by an interactive activity that gave participants a deeper understanding of the debate format in action. 🗣️📚

Students and teachers of the Misamis University Political Science Society gathered for their Fellowship Dinner for the academic year 2025-2026, organized under the leadership of MUPSS President Real Prince St. Rita, and held at GeeGrill on September 18, 2025.

With the theme "Retro," the event aimed to foster closer relationships within the organization. In addition to students, MUPSS advisors also attended the event, which helped strengthen the bond between students and faculty.

During the event, representatives from each year level showcased their talents, and the advisors also joined with their own performances. Furthermore, a welcoming initiation ceremony was held to greet and include the first-year students in the organization.

The Fellowship Dinner ended up a sucess, providing an enjoyable experience through good food and engaging performances. Thus, the MUPSS Fellowship Dinner served as a meaningful opportunity to build unity within the group.
