📢𝑨𝑻𝑻𝑬𝑵𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵 𝑻𝑶 𝑶𝑹𝑫𝑬𝑹❗

Please be informed that there will be 𝙉𝙊 𝙍𝙊𝙏𝘾 𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙄𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬, 𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩 8, 2026, as the school faculty will be attending their scheduled Faculty Community Building.

In consideration of the safety and welfare of all cadets, ROTC training will not be conducted since there will be no faculty members available on campus to provide proper guidance, supervision, and assistance in case of emergencies or unforeseen incidents.

All cadets are advised to take note of this announcement and refrain from reporting for ROTC training tomorrow.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) conducted environmental Lectures for La Salle University ROTC cadets on August 1, 2026, reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

La Salle University ROTC Unit reinforced its commitment to environmental education by hosting a lecture facilitated by the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐑). The lecture covered key environmental topics essential to sustainable development and conservation. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐃. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝟏, discussed Philippine Environmental Laws, highlighting significant executive orders and forestry regulations. He also presented the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 (𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟗𝟎𝟎𝟑), emphasizing proper waste handling, waste classification, and the penalties for violations. In addition, he explained the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act (𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨. 𝟗𝟏𝟒𝟕), focusing on prohibited acts, the Threatened Species Conservation Program, and the importance of protecting endangered and vulnerable wildlife species. He also discussed Climate Change, including its causes, effects, and the role of greenhouse gases in global warming, while emphasizing the importance of climate change adaptation and mitigation as key strategies for building resilient communities and reducing environmental impacts.

The La salle University Unit recently participated in a comprehensive, hands-on fire safety training conducted by the personnel from the 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐁𝐅𝐏). Equipping cadets with valuable knowledge and insights in fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and emegency response.

The activity opened with their 2nd flag ceremony and all personnel from BSP. It was introduced by 𝐂𝐌𝐒 𝐆𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐘. 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐫. (𝐑𝐄𝐓) 𝐏𝐀. The discussion was titled “𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙇𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡” with the theme “𝙎𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙜-𝙞𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙖 𝙎𝙪𝙣𝙤𝙜, 𝙃𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙠𝙖 𝙣𝙖𝙜-𝙞𝙞𝙨𝙖”. The lecture started by introducing their vision and mission, followed by how fire is created, the general characteristics of fire, and the common causes of fire. It was discussed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟐 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐑. 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳, Special Rescue Force Team Leader of Misamis Occidental, and followed by a discussion on fire safety by 𝐅𝐎𝟑 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐏. 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐭 and 𝐅𝐎𝟐 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐲 𝐏. 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚. After the discussion, they gave a quiz to see if the cadets really understood the material. Cadets were instilled with the proper mindset when confronting with fire hazards: to remain calm, vigilant, and acting decisively when necessary.

The 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 introduced the various parts of fire extinguishers and explained how to use a fire extinguisher when confronting fire hazards. The BFP also explained the parts and their respective functions. The discussion was followed by a live demonstration and practical exercise, allowing cadets to apply these skills both on campus and in outside situations.

This discussion not only provided valuable knowledge, but it also taught us how to apply it in our daily lives when needed. It equipped our cadets with essential emergency response skills while building the self-assurance needed to manage real-world emergencies calmly. Such instruction reinforces that vigilance and structural readiness extend far beyond snappy steps and tactical gear, serving as vital principles that should guide our everyday actions.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝

This day, July 18, 2026, sets every cadet on a transformative journey. It is the launch of a path that will shape their strength, mold their character, and prepare them to lead with purpose—all anchored by the Lasallian core values 𝓯𝓪𝓲𝓽𝓱, 𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓿𝓲𝓬𝓮, 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓸𝓷.

To mark the beginning of the ROTC program, cadets from different platoons gathered at the university oval for the first ROTC flag ceremony. Following the formation and march, NSTP Coordinator 𝓝𝓸𝓮𝓵 𝓒. 𝓐𝓵𝓪𝓶𝓲𝓷 led a short discussion on Citizenship Training, covering the legal bases of the NSTP, citizens' rights, and responsible service. He discussed the historical and legal bases of the 𝓝𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵 𝓢𝓮𝓻𝓿𝓲𝓬𝓮 𝓣𝓻𝓪𝓲𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓰𝓻𝓪𝓶 (NSTP), practical applications of the rights and responsibilities of Filipino citizens, and the importance of becoming responsible, disciplined, and service-oriented individuals.

The lecture also highlighted key national concerns, including environmental protection, national security, and drug awareness and prevention. These topics reinforced the values of patriotism, civic responsibility, and active community involvement, inspiring ROTC cadets to become individuals prepared to serve both in and beyond the uniform.

On July 11th, 2026 is the day for the cadets. It is the beginning of their journey that will shape their strength, mold their character, and prepare them to lead with purpose—all anchored by the la salle core values faith, service, and communion.

The first day of orientation marked the beginning for every cadet. Under the supervision of the ROTC Advance Officers, the cadets were learned the basic commands by learning how to stand properly and how to do a proper salute. It is true that every movement seemed simple however, there was a greater significance behind each movement. More than the commands, it was a day where the basis of leadership, responsibility, and teamwork was created.
