𝗕𝗘𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗔 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The 4th Year Political Science Students of La Salle University–Ozamizsuccessfully conducted the seminar “Beyond Representation: The Sangguniang Kabataan as a Platform for Meaningful Youth Participation in Governance and Public Affairs”on September 2, 2026.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed speakers for sharing their knowledge, experiences, and insights with our participants.

Mx. Hannah Tare, SK Chairperson of Brgy. Pan-Ay and Vice President for External Affairs of SAGAKAY, emphasized the importance of proper planning and meaningful youth participation in ensuring the success and sustainability of community programs. Her insights reminded us that effective youth leadership begins with preparation, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to serving the community.

Mr. Ryan Doldolia, SK Federated President of Clarin, Misamis Occidental, provided valuable insights into the role of the Sangguniang Kabataan within local government, including the allocation of the SK budget at the barangay level, priority programs, and the responsibilities of youth leaders in addressing the needs of their communities.

More than a seminar, this gathering served as a reminder that youth participation goes beyond being represented—it means being informed, involved, and empowered to contribute to governance and public affairs.

To our speakers, participants, faculty, organizers, and everyone who made this event possible, thank you for being part of this meaningful conversation. Your presence and participation made the seminar truly worthwhile.

𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥!

POLISAYS witnessed a showcase of confidence, creativity, and talent as 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐦𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐬 from every year level stepped forward during the Emcee Screening. Each participant brought their own voice, presence, and potential—proving that every year level has something meaningful to contribute.

More than just a screening, this was an opportunity to 𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰. On the 14th of August, the Political Sciences Assembly of Students held its screening to select the chosen emcees for future events held by its students! Two representatives per year were selected in this screening.

The showcase was fierce, as each representative displayed their own personal shine in demonstrating what it takes to be a passionate, spirited, and charming Emcee!

Preliminary exams have officially arrived, and have you equipped yourself with the exam essentials? As the time of looking for notes that were lost inside the maze that is our bags to purchasing snacks to help keep us abuzz while writing notes. Excelling is seen in many forms, not just in numbers, but in our lifestyle and health as well.

Please remember to value yourself as well in your academic journey, as your mind is your strongest weapon! We hope you strive to do your best in the preliminary exams, fellow students 💚!
