The struggles of the indigenous people for survival, continuing marginalization, exploitation, and loss of culture and tradition in Northern Mindanao and the Philippines in general, are the driving force behind the establishment and existence of GITIB, Inc. Yet, parallel to these struggles is the rapidly deteriorating ecological balance caused by neglect, increasing unsustainable practices, abuse and pressure from outside users pose great threat to the life and existence of indigenous and local communities that we seek to serve.

Because of the overwhelming interest and the many requests from children and youth who were not able to enroll on time, BAHAY KALIKASAN is EXTENDING its application period!

The Environmental Training Program is a 25 to 30 day live-in training designed to form children and youth into environmental rights advocates grounded in knowledge, leadership, and action.

This is your chance to deepen your understanding of environmental issues, build your skills, and take action in your community alongside fellow young advocates.

WHO CAN STILL APPLY?

βœ”οΈ Resident of Misamis Occidental
βœ”οΈ Member of a children or youth organization
βœ”οΈ Can commit to full live-in training
