Ugyon Youth participated in the Western Visayas Stakeholder Planning Meeting on the Emergency Medical Simulation Exercise last March 26, 2026, held at Seda Atria Hotel in Iloilo City.

The activity, organized under A-PAD Philippines’ flagship initiative, Project MedX, gathered over 30 representatives from government, health, private sector, and civil society to strengthen coordination and collaboration toward a more disaster-ready Western Visayas.

On April 13, 2026, Ugyon Youth and Bana-ag Iloilo! Youth Coalition co-led a voters education learning session during the Medical, Dental Mission and Advocacy Talks held at Brgy. Sinamay, Alimodian, Iloilo.

The activity gathered participants from various barangays in District 1 of Alimodian, alongside over a hundred patients who benefited from the outreach services. The program was facilitated by the Office of PPSK President Hon. Esara A. Javier, in partnership with the Iloilo Provincial Youth Office and other stakeholders.

Ugyon Youth, represented by Joshua Octavio, and BI!YC, represented by its Executive Director Zyril De los Angeles, both co-led the session—sharing insights on responsible voting, youth participation, and civic engagement.

Through initiatives like this, the youth continue to take an active role in shaping informed, empowered, and participatory communities. 💛

𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐀 𝐁𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐀 𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐍 | Around fifty (50) children from the Child Development Centers of Poblacion North, East, South, and West, facilitated by the Oton MSWD, took part in a day of stories, learning, and shared moments last April 12, 2026.

The storytelling session was led by the Hiyas Sang Katagman 2026 candidates, creating an engaging and inspiring space for young learners to listen, imagine, and connect.

The activity was made even more meaningful with meals and books provided by Jollibee, reinforcing the importance of community support in nurturing the minds and hearts of children.

Through Basa Bisita, Ugyon Youth continues to promote literacy, learning, and meaningful engagement among the youth.

Simultaneously with our Botong outreach, Ugyon Youth, in collaboration with CHICKEN INATO 2GO, also held a community outreach for senior citizens at Barangay Trapiche.

Led by Ugyon Youth VP Angelo Labrador, the session on Shared Responsibility Across Generations highlighted unity and the important role of every generation in building a stronger community.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Barangay Council of Trapiche, headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Jorge Mediodia, for their support.

Ugyon Youth, in collaboration with Chicken Inato 2 GO, successfully held an Outreach Program for 100 senior citizens of Barangay Botong this March 20, 2026 at Botong Covered Gym.

Our beloved senior citizens remain at the heart of this initiative—honoring their wisdom, celebrating their presence, and recognizing their continued role in our community. ✨

Ugyon Youth leaders Joshua Octavio and Zyril De los Angeles led a meaningful session on Shared Responsibility Across Generations, reminding us that unity does not depend on age, but on our willingness to work together.

The program was filled with joy through games, prizes, and most especially, the distribution of food meals made possible by our generous partner, Chicken Inato 2 GO—bringing smiles and warmth to every lolo and lola present. 🍗

Our heartfelt thanks to the Barangay Council of Botong, led by Punong Barangay Hon. Filomeno G. Basco, together with Kagawad on Social Services Hon. Jonalyn Tajo Egaran, for their support in making this outreach possible.

On March 18, Ugyon Youth convened at the Oton Command Center for its General Assembly and Year-End Report, highlighting the organization’s milestones, accountability, and future direction.

President Renan Herrera presented the 2025 Year-End Report, showcasing the organization’s accomplishments, impact, and key initiatives throughout the year. Meanwhile, Chairperson Zyril De los Angeles delivered the financial report, ensuring transparency and accountability to its members and stakeholders.

The assembly also served as a platform to discuss upcoming programs and projects, setting the tone for a stronger and more impactful year ahead for the organization.

This gathering reflects Ugyon Youth’s continued commitment to leadership, service, and empowering the youth in building a better community. 💙

Ugyon Youth is honored to renew its membership in the 2026 Iloilo Provincial Youth Development Council (IPYDC), continuing our engagement in the council since 2021.

As a community-based youth organization, we remain committed to bringing the voices of young people closer to the barangays through our advocacies on community education and promoting active participation in socio-civic spaces.

By strengthening grassroots engagement, we continue to champion youth leadership, while empowering communities to become active partners in shaping a more inclusive and participatory future for the Ilonggo youth.

After extensive screening and deliberations, the PPSK Iloilo Province and the Office of the Local Youth Development Officer - Iloilo Province proudly announce the roster of organizations that have successfully passed the requirements screening stage for membership to the Iloilo Provincial Youth Development Council (IPYDC).

The IPYDC, being a significant arm of both the PPSK and the OLYDO, plays a vital role in advancing youth participation, strengthening collaboration among youth organizations, and ensuring that programs, policies, and initiatives for youth development are effectively implemented across the Province of Iloilo.

We commend all organizations that took part in this process and extend our congratulations to those who have successfully moved forward in this stage. Your commitment to service, leadership, and youth empowerment is a strong step toward building a more engaged, empowered, and progressive Ilonggo youth community.

Ugyon Youth led the the Mind Matters: Mental Health Workshop hosted by the SK Council of Brgy. Tuburan, Oton, Iloilo on March 8, 2026.

The session was faciltated by Ugyon Youth Vice President for External Affairs Angelo Labrador, who served as the resource speaker and led discussions on mental health awareness and youth well-being. He was joined by fellow Ugyon Youth members and Oton LYDO Mr. Aladin Fancubila, who supported the learning session with the participating youth.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the SK Council of Brgy. Tuburan, led by SK Chair Jullem Soliman, for the invitation and for creating a safe space to talk about mental health and empower young people in the community.

Together, we continue to promote conversations that matter and support the well-being of the youth.
