Ugyon Youth a community youth org in Oton awarded as the 2022 Most Outstanding Youth Organization in Iloilo

Ugyon Youth Organization is a community-based youth organization in the Municipality of Oton established in 2019 and is registered under the National Youth Commission- Youth Organization Registration Program (NYC- YORP). At the present, Ugyon is a member of the Oton Local Youth Development Council, Iloilo Provincial Youth Development Council, and is an accredited civil society organization (CSO) m

ember of the Oton Municipal Development Council. In August 2022, Ugyon was awarded as the Most Outstanding Youth Organization in the entire Province of Iloilo.

The magical journey of PATRONUS 2026: Igniting the Magic of Youth Leadership officially came to a close with the Awarding and Closing Ceremony, celebrating a day of learning, collaboration, and servant leadership among student leaders from Oton's five public secondary schools.

Congratulations to House Ravenclaw for emerging as the overall champion after demonstrating excellence throughout the leadership sessions, project pitching, and team-building challenges.

The closing program featured heartfelt closing remarks from Project Co-Chair Zanea Calagadmo, who expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the bootcamp. Ugyon Youth extends its sincerest appreciation to the school principals, SSLG advisers, and student leaders of Oton's five public secondary schools for their active participation and unwavering commitment to developing future leaders.

As the third leg of the Youth Leadership Bootcamp organized by Ugyon Youth since 2023, PATRONUS 2026 reflects the organization's continuing commitment to empowering young leaders through meaningful and transformative learning experiences.

Special recognition is extended to Project Co-Chairs Wency Wrenz Arellano and Zanea Calagadmo for their leadership in steering the program, together with the dedicated members of Ugyon Youth Batch 2025, whose hard work and facilitation made the event possible.

Ugyon Youth likewise expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Oton, under the leadership of Mayor Sofronio L. The spirit of unity, trust, and resilience came alive during The Fellowship of the Wand, the team-building segment of PATRONUS 2026: Igniting the Magic of Youth Leadership.

The four Hogwarts Houses took on four stations of formation challenges, putting their communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills to the test. More than friendly competition, each activity encouraged participants to rely on one another, embrace every member's strengths, and discover that true leadership is built through collaboration and mutual trust.

The afternoon concluded with the cherished tradition of Pagbabasbas para sa mga Lingkod Mag-aaral, a solemn blessing led by Ugyon Youth leaders for all participants. Through this meaningful ceremony, the young leaders were reminded that leadership is not merely about holding positions but about answering the call to serve with humility, integrity, and compassion as they return to their respective schools and communities.

The afternoon session of PATRONUS 2026: Igniting the Magic of Youth Leadership officially opened with a message from Hon. Hyacinth Gardose, President of the Oton Public Secondary Schools Supreme Student Government (PPSK), who encouraged participants to lead with purpose, collaboration, and service.

The four Hogwarts Houses then showcased their creativity and leadership during Wands Up: The Final Presentation, pitching community-based projects inspired by the morning sessions on project management, communication, and ethical leadership. Each presentation reflected the participants' ability to transform ideas into meaningful initiatives for their schools and communities.

After the project pitching, participants prepared for The Fellowship of the Wand team-building activities by completing their house banners and applying face paint. Ugyon Youth Founder Zyril Jeff De los Angeles and Project Co-Chair Wency Wrenz Arellano then facilitated the orientation, discussing the mechanics, expectations, and values of teamwork, trust, and sportsmanship before the challenges began.

On July 18, 2026, young leaders from Oton's five public secondary schools gathered at Cecilles Catering and Pension House for the opening of PATRONUS 2026: Igniting the Magic of Youth Leadership, a Harry Potter-inspired leadership bootcamp organized by Ugyon Youth Organization, Inc. in partnership with the Oton Local Youth Development Office.

The morning program commenced with an overview of the bootcamp's vision, objectives, and activities delivered by Project Co-Chair Wency Wrenz Arellano, who introduced participants to the day's journey of leadership, collaboration, and self-discovery. Embracing the magical theme, participants were then regrouped into the four Houses of Hogwarts, where they worked together in a banner-making activity that fostered creativity, teamwork, and healthy house spirit among student leaders from the municipality's five public secondary schools.
Participants then took part in three interactive learning sessions designed to strengthen their leadership competencies.

๐Ÿช„ Projectus Maxima: Turning Vision into Reality (Project Management & Impact) was facilitated by Mr. Clifford Req P. Mabaquiao, who equipped participants with the fundamentals of project planning, implementation, and impact-driven leadership, encouraging them to transform ideas into meaningful community initiatives.

๐Ÿช„ Spellbinding Presentations: The Art of Persuasion (Project Communication) was delivered by Mr. Daryl T. Lutero, who shared practical strategies on storytelling, public speaking, and persuasive communication to help young leaders effectively communicate their advocacies and inspire action.

๐Ÿช„ The Elder Wand Principle (Ethical Leadership) was presented by Ugyon Youth Founder Zyril Jeff De los Angeles, who emphasized that true leadership is rooted not in titles or authority but in integrity, accountability, fairness, and the courage to make ethical choices even when no one is watching.

The morning session concluded with participants gaining not only practical knowledge in project development, communication, and ethical leadership, but also a deeper appreciation of leadership as a responsibility anchored in service, character, and purposeโ€”preparing them for the afternoon's collaborative challenges and project presentations.
