Through the National Youth Commission and the Lao Youth Union (SOMY Lao PDR) will organize the ASEAN Plus Three (+3) on Skills Development for Youth in Sustainable Eco-Tourism and Agro-Tourism on 25 to 30 December 2024, in Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR.
The program aims to foster knowledge, capacity, and network building in the fields of sustainable ecotourism and agro-tourism amongst ASEAN+3 youth and young entrepreneurs through a set of activities, including with training, workshop, knowledge sharing and cross-cultural exchanges. We also want to realize the well-resume of regional tourism and tourism growth, create more job opportunities, increase more community involvement, and poverty through eco-tourism and agro-tourism.
The NYC will be nominating three (3) youth delegates.
ACCOMMODATION AND FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS:
The organizer will cover the return international economy airfare, accommodation, meals, and local cost related to the workshop in Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR for three (3) youth delegates.
Qualifications of Youth Delegates:
โข Fully vaccinated (with 1st and 2nd dose with 1 booster shot) Filipino citizen currently residing in the Philippines;
โข Three (3) Youth Representatives aged 18 to 35 years by the time of the workshop;
โข Preferably students (university/college, vocational education, and training institutions), relating to Tourism Faculty; Young Entrepreneurs or social entrepreneurs in the areas of Tourism Sector or Tourism Business Operator; or young professionals working in the tourism sector;
โข Has a good command of written and spoken English;
โข With valid Philippine passport (valid until June 30, 2025);
โข With PSA-issued birth certificate;
โข Must be able to attend & participate during the whole duration of the program in Singapore and Laos including travel time;
โข Certified true copy of membership in any Philippine-based youth-serving organization;
โข Preferably a YORP member;
โข Certified true copy of latest certificate of employment/ proof of enrollment (for students);
โข Must be able to attend the pre-departure orientation in NYC Central Office, Quezon City a day before schedule departure; and
โข Must be willing to be an NYC volunteer and to comply with post-program activities

Fill up the NYC International Programsโ Online Application Form via google form completely and accurately, and upload the following:
โข Scanned copy of passport valid until June 30, 2025 (upload via google form)
โข DOH Vaccination certificate/ Vaccine Card (upload via google form)
โข Scanned copy of PSA-issued birth certificate (upload via google form)
โข Scanned copy of Certificate of Employment/ Proof of enrollment (Upload via google form)
โข Updated Curriculum Vitae (upload via google form)
โข Proof of membership to YORP registered organization (if applicable; upload via google form)

Expenses:
All program costs including meals, accommodation, and flights (Manila โ Laos-Laos-Manila) will be borne by the organizers. However, delegates will have to bear personal expenses, such as travel insurance, incidentals during hotel stay, and mobile data charges.
Delegates will also bear any additional charges incurred for changes to flight bookings or accommodation beyond the stipulated deadline by the organizers, and any necessary health requirements such as mandatory vaccinations as required by prevailing health guidelines of the hosting country;
Delegates will shoulder their travel expenses from their residence (province) to NAIA and back, as well as their accommodation in Quezon City for the pre-departure briefing in NYC Central Office.
The following are automatically disqualified:
โข Participants of NYC-coordinated international programs from December 30, 2021, to present whose airfare, accommodation, and meals were paid for by the organizer;
โข Participants of NYC-coordinated international programs from December 30, 2023, to present whose airfare was shouldered by the participants and whose accommodation and meals were paid for by the organizer;
โข NYC International Programs Beneficiaries who have not completed their volunteer work hours.
โข Previous NYC International Programs Beneficiaries who have not submitted or accomplished the required post-program obligations or volunteer work.
โข Incomplete requirements; follow up requirements would not be entertained once passed deadline.
